As my title indicates, I am biased on this place as my brother is the head chef.That being said, this places is still great. Just look at the crowds and normal wait times and you'll know this place must be good given how popular it is.We had a group of about 20 and aside from one messed up order, the rest of the service was perfect. I can best describe the food as culinary pub food. They have a lot of what you usually would get at a pub, but it is much higher quality.Tons of beers on tap and they even have a couple of fridges of bottled/canned beer for sale to take home.Kid friendly.Parking is scarce so be ready to drive around the neighborhood to find a spot when they are busy, which is pretty much always.

This restaurant/brewpub has only been open only a short time. We got there after 7pm and the place was packed, all sorts of customers, from families, to people on dates, to groups of friends. The dining room was very loud. We were seated promptly, near to the packed bar, there are about twenty or so televisions, on the night we went they were all turned to the Mariners game.Wait staff were attentive and we ordered a Santa Fe Burger and a Reuben, the Reuben was ordered with cole slaw instead of fries, (it was delivered with fries and no coleslaw, probably due to the fullness of the dining room and a stressed kitchen. The coleslaw came quickly once the mistake was pointed out). The Burger was flavorful and looked great, but was impossible to pick up with my hands because of the large piece of green pepper which made everything slide, eaten with a knife and fork it was delicious. The Reuben was a standard presentation, was very good. Fries were not very hot. but tasty. The wine list is small and moderately priced. All in all not bad at all. I'll try it again at a less busy time.

$1 tacos on Tuesdays. I called ahead and the order was ready in the time promised. The cashier was friendly. My food was to go, but there were several patrons seated inside.

Staff was friendly. We were here for lunch and space was a little tight. I was disappointed they didn't have the seafood sub. I don't know if all Subways have dropped this, or not.

I had the sirloin steak special. The steak was uninteresting and tasteless. A1 sauce helped. The baked potato with all the fixings was better. Salad was served on a chilled dish which I thought was a "cool" feature. Salad greens were tough but we got through them. My wife had the salmon dinner which was good. Each meal came with four half slices of grilled bread, which was too much. Vegetables might have been a better choice. Contos was closed on Labor Day, but when we go there the food is exquisite and we always take enough home for another meal. In Lake Stevens, we will always choose Contos over Hawkeyes.

It is alright, not great but if you are real hungry and just need some all American food at a fair price then alright. Go in the later afternoon or evening because then you get waited on at your table.

We came here for dinner and found this to be amazing. The stuffed dates and eggplant ravioli were tender with an amazing savory and sweet flavor. There are also some great drinks here. The service was prompt and friendly.
