Such a great place for afternoon dessert, appetizers and coffee or drinks! We had the red velvet cake followed by crostini topped with prosciutto, Brie and fresh greens. All delicious with lovely presentation! Located behind the Lake City Bakery, this should be on everyoneâs list

I eat here a couple of times a year, and always get a good decent meal. nothing fancy her and no frills. just good basic cooking of traditional breakfast, lunch, and dinner. you can probably guess on what the menu offers. totally American style menu. friendly staff and nice décor, and great cup of coffee, Just right to start the day in the high country!

We ate a late pizza lunch here after doing a 14er. We thought the pizza was definitely above average - house-made crust was really good and perfectly done. The sauce and toppings were good and we enjoyed our beer and pizza lunch experience.

My wife, daughter, and 2 teenage grandchildren joined me for lunch at this restaurant while on vacation. It is a rustic little restaurant that has one section for breakfast items, with the main restaurant serving a great menu of burgers, chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken, catfish, fried pork tenderloin, salads, etc. Their main eating area is outside tables and is very laid back and relaxed. Service was good, and prices were very reasonable. It serves one of the best chicken fried steaks we have found, and the friend pork tenderloin sandwich was excellent. When we return again, we will return.

Lake City is not known as the culinary capital of Colorado, however, Southern Vittles could help put it on the map. My husband's chicken fried steak was a actual real piece of meat and not something "flaked and formed". He loved it, especially with the thick crust that stayed on the meat. My fried chicken sandwich was also great. We ordered fried zucchini and the generous plate of fried zucchini was delicious.

The Cannibal Grill has an enjoyable outdoor seating when weather permits. We started with chips and Guacamole which was cold, spicy and excellent. We each had an appetizer order of stuffed mushrooms which we think is the best thing on their menu. We each also had a Cannibal salad topped with blackened tilapia. The tilapia on both salads was over cooked and dry. The salad base was adequate however the Blue Cheese dressing was runny and contained no pieces of Blue Cheese. The service was good and we did not have an extended wait for our food.

We went here to celebrate our anniversary while we were spending a week in Lake City for vacation. We knew ahead of time that this restaurant was pricey. But it made for a special dinner. We called ahead for reservations. They served a lovely basket of crackers with herbed butter that was delicious. We split the taste of the Rockies. The bison and CO lamb were outstanding. We also had an amazing dessert. This is by far the best option for fine dining in Lake City.So glad we were part of your anniversary celebration! Thank you for the awesome review!
