Stopped here for lunch! We will be back here often. The Beef on Weck was delicious and the fried chicken was tender, moist, juicy and tasty. Excellent homemade mashed potatoes too. Our server Mary was so sweet and attentive. She was thoughtful and full of helpful tips when she found out we were new to The Villages. WE ARE also excited to find out this the Penn State bar for The Villages!

We called in 20 minutes in advance as instructed earlier in the day of May 17, 2019 by an employee. We were told that a clicker would be set for us so we would not have to wait as long and they confirmed to me that they knew we needed a wheelchair seating. For whatever reason this restaurant does not take reservations. We arrived at 5:30 and was told it would be 35 to 40 wait. Over an hour had past and no seats were available for someone in a wheelchair. Parties of 6 and 8 who arrived AFTER our party of 4 were promptly seated before us, which should never had happened. The employees put several tables together, which could have accommodated our party of 3 plus one wheelchair very nicely. Those groups only had to wait a few minutes. A discussion with two separately managers did nothing for us. Once we were finally seated in a table that was NOT wheelchair accessible our server turned out to be just wonderful. Not once did the either manager come to see if we were okay with the seating. Needless to say the person in the wheelchair kept getting hit in the back by different servers as they hurried around the corner. This was NOT meant for a wheelchair. I would have given this restaurant a one star, but the server we had was very good. Food was average. I would not recommend this place for any special occasion such as ours or for someone that is handicapped.

We are regulars with the new ownership. Everyone is doing a tremendous job of making this place special. They offer wine locker rentals with several additional amenities. We love it! They also have great specials that make lunch there a very attractive option. Keep up the good work!

"With extra egg" Megan declared. "No, I said no egg." "Oh, right." "And two waters." One water appeared. "Oh, I didn't understand." Later,a repeat of the request for a refill was necessary. Bar B Que chicken was O.K., although starkly placed alone on the plate. The Pittsburgh rare strip steak was properly cooked. It too was starkly alone on the plate in a puddle of black oil. The meat had a large amount of inedible silver skin tissue. (see photo)Salads were cold and fresh. The up-charge for blue cheese crumbles was not mentioned.Music volume was loud and intrusive.Service and food generally adequate for this level of dining.

We had not been to Toojays for sometime. My wife likes waffles and Toojays has a very good one. The problem they have is doing a real scrambled egg!! one would think it would be hard to screw up!! Believe me they can. Do not mix the yolk and white completely plus manage to brown it.BUT today was a fabulous day. We ordered the breakfast platter. Requested the waffle come out first so it would not be cold. The wife put in her scrambled egg request. Waffle was brought out first. EXCELLENT. When Solomon, our waiter saw we were finished he went and brought the remainder of the meal. Scrambled was perfect. Wife was happy!!What made all of this happen was SOLOMON our waiter. He LISTENED to our request and made sure it was correct. Solomon gets FIVE STARS. It is a pleasure dining out when you are listened to and not told "I can't do that".Thanks SOLOMON!!It's wonderful to hear that Solomon went above and beyond to provide you and your wife with the best experience! Our guests' satisfaction is of the utmost importance to our team, and we're so glad this was made apparent to you in your visit. We'll be sure to pass along your high praise to our team member, and we hope we get to serve you again soon!

Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes creates an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience with a daily selection of made-from-scratch soups and salads and hand-crafted muffins, focaccia, breads and tasty desserts.
After church today we met up with a group of friends at Sweet Tomato. My, they were busy! The car park was almost full, so we had to park way round the back. It was our first visit, so the set-up was a little different. Immediately upon entering the restaurant, the salad buffet is on your left. Reusable plastic plates on trays were not quite what we were expecting, but the cutlery was stainless steel. That said, the salad selection was huge and very fresh, and you could fill up TWO plates if you wanted. There was a great array of dressings and toppings available too.The choice of which colour plastic beaker you choose to use depended on whether you wanted water, or soda. There was also a choice of tea or coffee. Now, we were at the payment desk. Each salad cost $8 for seniors. We thought that was pretty good value for money. Imagine our astonishment when we were told by the cashier we could help ourselves to soup, breads, potatoes, AND desserts, too. Wow! This was REALLY good value for money! We were then shown to an empty table. While I understand that this is not the usual setup for any dining experience, we will definitely be back, and would recommend it to friends as a place for casual eating out!

We stopped here for breakfast because the parking lot was always full when we rode by. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is not upscale, definitely a local favorite. We were greeted as we came in and promptly seated. Our waitress came and got us our beverage while we looked at the menu. Our order was taken. The place was full ( no other tables available) and they only had two cooks. It did take about 25 minutes to get our food but it was worth the wait. Our beverages were kept refilled while we waited. We ordered omelets and home fries and it was a lot of food. Our leftover home fries lasted for another breakfast at home. Good hot food. Outstanding caring waitress and full bellies! Will return again.

Arrived here for an early dinner(4pm) with 2 friends and we were seated immediatelySharniece was a super server! My friends recommended the baby back ribs, so I ordered a half rack which was served with two sides and garlic toast ($11.99). OMG - the lima beans were really very good! A nice change! Half rack was plenty! Thanks much! Looks like you love Texas or are from Texas. I grew up in Vernon (50 miles west of Wichita Falls). Iâll pat Sharnice on the back and Iâll let Chef Sammy know that you love his Lima beans. Heâs been making them for Oakwood for 21 years.
