This is part of the Hillstone restaurant group. I have been to several of these restaurants around California and Arizona. They all have almost the same menu which is a good thing because the food is terrific and they nail it almost every time. My wife and I always get the same thing, the French dip sandwich. Incredible thing. Sliced prime rib on a soft roll with Cole slaw. This is the ultimate French dip. I don't mean ultimate in the gimmicky kind of way, I mean it because it is always identically perfect from the last one I had. Once I ordered the ribs just to try something different. They were very good fall off the bone sticky sauce type but after I finished I wish I had ordered my usual French dip. They serve very good salads. If you want a side or starter type salad look at the bottom of the menu for the great little salad. It isn't listed with the rest of the salads. The jalapeño corn bread is wonderful. It is served in a cast iron skillet and is made for more than 2 people. Worth ordering but very filling. They have a small but nice wine list and stocked bar. The corkage is free for the first bottle of wine which is a generous touch especially in the wine country. I am a large person and the booths are plenty big even the 2 tops. This place is very popular and almost always has a crowd of folks waiting comfortably in the large outdoor patio bar area. The design is very pleasant, a little dark inside, relaxed but nice enough for a romantic dinner if not a little loud. Lots of people having fun. We have a branch of this chain in our town and go when we have a need for the French Dip. I have never been disappointed, they always deliver. IF they have artichokes get one, they are perfectly cooked with a few light grill marks and a nice mayo sauce on the side. You won't be sorry, just get there early.

I do not understand all the positive reviews for this restaurant. We had fresh tomatoes and artichokes as an appetizer, and that was excellent. Everything went downhill from there. The entrees were forgettable at best. They served a New York strip steak and described it as âsliced for your convenience.â They had to slice it in the kitchen because it was too tough to slice, much less chew, at the table. Several of us had the fish dishes that were uniformly found to be tasteless. Wines were good. An totally regrettable experience. ecloebl,Thank you for your review on your recent visit to Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. And yes as the other reviewers have said, Try the burger! The signs are not prominent so you might miss this hole in the wall as you drive into and out of Jack London State Park. You'll find a lot of regulars at this spot, but not to worry, the bar keeper will make you feel welcome. There is a good selection of IPA's on tap. The food is respectable, the fries very good.

When visiting Glen Ellen, we usually have lunch at the Glen Ellen Inn but today found it closed for lunch. Luckily we spotted this place across the street so went in. We were not disappointed. Both of us had their quite large and loaded with bacon BLT; wife had side order of tomato soup, I had side of country potatoes. Both very good and filling. Service a bit on the leisurely side but we were not in a hurry. Seemed like a friendly neighborhood spot with local patrons. A bit noisy when full but not overbearing. Adjacent parking lot. Prices in line with most coffee shops.

Quail Inn Restaurant at Oakmont golf club Since recently moving into Oakmont, I have made many trips to the Quail Inn bar/restaurant which is adjacent to the Golf clubhouse. It is easy to mistake it was part of the golf course especially since there is an outside patio overlooking the driving range, and a âfood windowâ for quick food pickupsâ¦. I enjoy sitting and eating at the bar where I can converse with the bartenders, who are very friendly, congenial and interesting people, as well as watch the golfers on the nearby green. Very comfortable seating at the bar and at the leather-seat chair & tables along the windows. I am especially fond of the way my 2 favorite bartenders make my very good Cadillac margaritas. The food menu is a little limited but everything on it is delicious. They also accommodate my gluten-free menu by providing corn tortillas and lettuce-wrap burgers. It is definitely a locals hangout because it is convenient, comfortable, with nice and competent people serving good food at fair pricesâ¦so drop in if you are in the Oakmont area.Quail Inn Catering at Oakmont golf clubHowever this month we discovered that the Quail Inn also includes a separate catering and event function areas, which operates with a separate kitchen and staff, which has its own parking area and two reception entrances. It all starts with an initial meeting with Michelle Sand who is the catering sales manager. The facilities can be divided into a number of function rooms by movable folding-walls, and with walls of windows and French doors leading to the very large outdoor patio set with with tables & heaters, and from which you overlook the golf course, and enjoy vista-wide views of the beautiful mountains that surround Oakmont. We were looking for a place to hold a reception following a wedding celebration for about 40 people. Michelle showed us a number of design options, including one area where it was already partially pre-decorated with some swags of white netting material decorated with sparkly LED lights hanging from the ceiling. Doing some mental designing she provided us with some possible arrangements/sizes of tables, back-bars etc, we quickly settled on her suggestion for the four round 10-top tables and the 2 long side tables - one for the bar and one for desserts and coffee, flower arrangements, candles, lighting, music, bar contentâ¦color of table cloths, overlays, napkin form & color, chargers, table-top items, and we were done after a 30 minute conversation! Well we did spend an additional 10-minutes discussing and deciding on the pass-around appetizers and dinner menu, including some gluten-free items for me.One of the nice features was that on the morning before the event, we brought the flowers, candles, music CDâs, Photo displays and table-top items, gifts and games, to Michelle and she had the entire room fully decorated and setup with all of the flower arrangements, hurricanes with lit candles, soft music playing with dimed lights, and all of the table top favors and other gifts neatly displayed. Also, we opted to have an open bar for our guests and they provided the complete bar and set ups, on a pay-as-you-go basis. I will say that the food was very tasty, freshly prepared and served hotâ¦the pass-around appetizers were a hit and served by two very polite staff circulating with trays of hors dâoeuvres including a very tasty twice baked potato with smoked salmon and truffle oil â¦. Salads that were served fresh; we chose the hearts of Romaine with pears, blue cheese, toasted almonds and creamy lemon vinaigrette. We did pre-order the roasted crushed ribs of beef for the main dish, nicely plated, great taste and enjoyed by all⦠They also accommodated my gluten-free pallet by providing me with a separate chicken piccata dinnerâ¦.. this was not a ârubber chicken dinnerâ. . And the desert of cheesecake with raspberry sauce was so good that many people actually licked their plate. I however had a wonderful gluten-free ice cream sundae. Now I know a lot of you are thinking there are places like this available in many neighborhoods and youâre probably rightâ¦but itâs not only the facilities Iâm speaking about⦠Iâm talking about the people who staff those places. At Quail Inn the staff is attentive, polite, efficient, gracious⦠they politely unobtrusively kept the schedule moving and the guests happy. They basically will accommodate your event and provide you anything that you need or allow you to bring whatever you feel comfortable with. So the food is good and the service provided by our two servers was extremely polite and efficient; It was an overall wonderful experience.

Wine Country Cuisine, full bar, martinis, and a small boutique hotel located in the Heart of Sonoma Valley wine country.
We had dinner there last night. We ordered three different dishes and all of them were delicious. I ordered the prawns and loved them. My husband had the mushroom soup and our son Cioppino and they were delicious. We sat on a terrace outside and it was very nice. Great service.

Travelers and locals alike This is a fabulous place to have a wine pairing appointment especially on a rainy day! Being an upgraded player in the wine club here, I have already been to this event, but yesterday was lovely with our friends who had been at huge help with getting your new wine club managers and members alike. The food is divine but it is an incentive to the wine club but once a year, I got lucky enough to get this opportunity twice. One I hosted and another one a friend hosted who was also a club member. An aside, been here many times during the year and its never been a disappointment! Come and do a little wine tasting anytime year round. Staff at tasting room are unbelievably happy to help you. They almost go out of their way to make you feel right at home. With pristine soil conditions, I would recommend the st Francis Rose. Its nice and light to the palette, not too bitter with some floral tones and a hint of fruit like strawberry. The pairings you will need to reserve ahead. Fills up quickly. Events happen year round and sell out much faster than you might think. So act fast! Guests of wine club members are only permitted to attend with the designated club member. Otherwise guests that are not members of the wine club are not allowed to participate. So sign up!
