Things to do in Julian
I have had the great pleasure of visiting this quaint and inviting meal setting on several happy occasions. Most notably would include our private after-wedding lunch held between just the two of us out doors in their rentable gazebo. It was semi-private, and lovely nestled among the rustling trees, and cheery chirping birds. The table was set exquisitely including non-alcoholic bubbly on ice, just for us, and all the fixings for one of the most romantic times I have ever had. The other visit that stands out so prominently in my mind, is our most recent Thanksgiving gathering held in their warm and inviting lodge-style dining room. They put on more than just a great spread... It verges on soiree status! The Delicious food, and friendly proprietors among other elements, almost helped me forget the sadness I was feeling while missing other family members I could not be with on such a holiday. Hope to return again soon.

This is our usual Julian restaurant though I've dined at many of the town's cafes. We always have had good service and food. Recently we enjoyed excellent quesadillas and tasty (perhaps a bit al dente) apple pie. I can highly recommend their apple cider. They also have pies to go and a cute gift area. The staff was friendly helping us with questions about an item we were hunting in Julian. Parking can be a bit tricky but that's true of the town in general.

Large brewery and eatery located on historic Main St. Julian. We specialize in casual dining, varied seating options, events, and live music. We serve handcrafted beers along with local wines, handtossed pizzas, REAL BBQ, and small plates.
After watching our grandson's high school baseball game, we took him to celebrate at the Julian Beer Company. It was a Friday night and this small tourist town of less than 2,000 inhabitants was jumping with tourists. Being on the Pacific Coast Trial, many of the hikers were enjoying themselves here. We chose the Garlic Artichoke pizza and were pleasantly surprised how good it was. A little pricey, but then again, you're in a tourist locations. The beer was excellent. So, if you're in the area of Julian and want to have a treat, try The Julian Beer Co. or JBC, I don't think you will be disappointed. The next time, I want to try their pork ribs. I hear they're delicious.

We hadn't been to Julian in 23 years and we're looking forward to a quiet weekend, but not a superb dining experience. Luckily in searching we found Jeremy's. Unbelievable food and attentive service in a quiet romantic setting. Thought enjoyed a.nd if you love carrot cake order this one. Warning:. it's a huge portion. The bread was warm, the salad was great and the tomato bisque had ginger! We will be back!

Lots of antiques and things of yester' year in two large rooms. The soda fountain was authentic and a train runs along the ceiling circumnavigating both rooms. We saw quite a collection of old signs, toys and there are even old fashioned candies for sale.

It took time to be seated and give our order. We got a burger special that included Julian pie with ice cream. The roll was soggy and that made it hard to eat. Pie was super, but should have been on a larger plate.

Restaurant has an extensive menu including a wide variety of chicken entrees, burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches, chili, entrees, and all described as made from scratch cooking. I arrived hungry and was barely able to finish their Gold Digger Salad = 3 giant fried tortilla shells filled with Romaine lettuce, + generous amounts of chopped tomatoes, Feta cheese, sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, avocado, and Crisp bacon (Not bacon bits). Poppyseed dressing on the side.Service was a bit slow for the time of day = 2:00 p.m. but the history of the property that also appeared on the menu was interesting and informative.

Julian's only cafe and full service flower shop in one. The menu features a full line of homemade soups, fresh sandwiches and salads at lunch. Breakfast is served Thursday - Sunday only from 8am-11am with Classic Eggs Benedict and Organic Apple Pancakes a
We stopped here after a recommendation from the nearby (and amazing) California Wolf Center. Our recommended sandwiches were good and portions more than ample. The best was my wife's home-made veggie burger, filled with there freshest ingredients. Service was friendly but at a casual pace.
