The restaurant is in a restored depot and gorgeous. The food is awesome. The were 7 of us and we all raved about our choices and none of us ordered the same items.

This is a no thrills place you come here for the nice views of the Guadalupe River and for some of the best catfish in town!

This has quickly become a local favorite. In a restored old building, the décor is funky and eclectic and, combined with a great selection of mostly classic western soundtracks, provides a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Good cold longnecks enhance the flavors of classic barbecue, best catfish in town, burgers, etc. They do not sell wine, but will open what you bring and offer setups for the hard stuff.

1011 Bistro, located right in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, has the most spectacular view of the Guadalupe River. You will find something in our menu for a special occasion, family gathering or just kicking back in our upstairs terrace. Our friendl
First, let me say that we live in CA with a second home in Kerrville. Our go-to steak and seafood restaurant in CA is Mastros so unfairly, we compare all others to this place and none ever make the grade until we discovered this place. 1011 Bistro is tough competition when comparing the quality of steaks. Their filet mignon can be cut with a butter knife, the garlic in the potatoes is perfect and so on. THE fresh baked bread..OMG - that's worth the trip in itself. LOL. We ate there twice last week because we cannot find any other place in town with this kind of quality. While comparing the two - this place is relatively inexpensive for its quality. PLUS it has a dreamy view of the Guadalupe river. While some may complain of the service, I think the less employees they have working is their way of keeping prices down. Since this is a retirement community, I am assuming they chose cost and quality over upscale service and I am more than ok with that and feel its a very wise choice on their part. The service is not bad, just not as attentive at times but always super friendly and professional. The only thing I miss is a lemon drop martini but I found a bottle of Moscato that I like in its place. We ended up buying gift certificates for several of our neighbors so they would try this place. Its pretty empty on weeknights but we were told it gets busy on weekends. Guess I will have to try it and their prime rib. Lastly, thank you staff for letting us dine at 8:45 and still being friendly with us as I know you were all looking to leave soon. Your Texan hospitality was appreciated. We will be back!

Fish tacos, fried okra, gulf shrimp plate, not a complaint to be made about any of them, fresh, tasty, nice size portions. View of the river very nice, service from Ty was wonderful, could not have enjoyed more, will be back on next trip.

Here at Bill's, we have a full dining room and lots of outside seating as well. There is parking up front and additional parking behind the building.
Very nice, friendly and informative owners. Food was good. Service was quick. Plates were reasonably priced.

Quite new, but really good food.
This restaurant, truthfully, is not consistent. It might be good one visit and just so, so on your next trip. I've eaten here dozens of times. Usually reluctantly. So for what it's worth, Dine At Your Own Risk...

This is a very small antiquated café. Service was the average in the food was a little above average for breakfast. Very large servings in a Mexican flair. I would go back here. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and have a very small lunch menu mostly sandwiches.

Went there based on Trip Advisor ratings. Group of 5. I ordered the brisket plate. I would rate it as average at best. I've had more tender briskets than one served. Side dish of potato salad and beans were fine. One of group order chicken soup which was clearly homemade and considered very good. The portions were large, you won't leave hungry. If I were to return would order something else, maybe take advice of other reviews.

We stopped in for lunch and had the Tacos with salad bar as well as a special which was grilled BBQ sandwich. The options on the salad bar was plentiful and excellent quality. The grilled sandwich was delicious too. While the staff was shorthanded that day, everything was fine. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the beautiful view. Definitely a place to visit.
