We traveled to Herkimer as a half way stop to our annual holiday celebration in The Finger Lakes. We decided to go out and eat and PK's was recommended by both the hotel and Tripadvisor. We walked in and were immediately greeted with "Do you have reservations?! We are full up with reservations this evening". Not necessarily a warm welcome. We asked if we could eat at the bar and then they said, "yes, that would be fine". I was then worried we would wait forever, but our salads came immediately and the meals followed just fine. We were glad we decided to stay after the cool (outsider) welcome as the food, service, and evening turned out to be just fine, very good. It seems they get flustered when they are nearing capacity, but there is no reason to make new customers skeptical about dining there. This is a duplicate of PK's Pub which appears to be the same place (same location), unless I am missing something...?

For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca

Having previously worked at a different Applebee's my expectations were exceptionally low. However, the food came out incredibly fast, everything was good, and the service was awesome. My server Erika was really friendly and quick, and went out of her way to track me down when I inadvertently left my card behind. She was an amazing waitress. The restaurant was also very clean and the hostess was really friendly too. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

I just had to check it out for myself. When I saw they served lamb chops, I knew I had to get there. They were delicious! It was a Tuesday night. It was quite busy. There was only one waiter on. He did a great job, but I think there should gave been another waiter/waitress.
We were looking for a place to have a late breakfast/brunch before getting on the NY Thruway. Mohawk is evidently not well supplied with restaurants or cafes, but we came across this diner just as we were thinking of ending the search and trying for something in Herkimer. It was a real discovery. The all-day breakfast that is on offer is reinforced by the decoration, which is very cheerful and leans heavily towards poultry, especially roosters. The server was very cheerful, as was the manager. And the food itself was a very pleasant surprise. I had eggs with bacon; my wife had a vegetable omelet. Both dishes were very good, as were the home fries. The coffee was good, too. Finally, the price was right. Recommended!

I love the homey atmosphere of this restaurant. I had some sort of steak stew that was absolutely incredible.
And so deep! We were on the escalator forever! Everything was from the Soviet era and they left it that way. There was a lovely statue of Pushkin in one station. Must see!

Rocky, the owner, was the chef last night. My wife and I were with one of the better chef's in Herkimer County. Former owner of Canal Side, and his wife.. We are both critical, because we both have owned restaurants , Forever. Rocky prepared a Platter, yes platter of Fresh Caprese. Onions, peppers, fresh tomatoes and unreal mozzarella, Buffalo, Surrreal. Dinner, he prepared us a Bone-in Maygu, Steak, enough for 4. Unreal/surreal and perfectly cooked, presented. Sorry, but we all " Pigged Out ". He must be one of the best Chef's in Upstate NY.

Welcome to our original 1952 Mountainview Diner voted Best Upstate New York Diner. Best Atmosphere. Best Bacon. Best Hollandaise. Best Pie Crust. Now celebrating 65 years in the Mohawk Valley and once noted as the "most modern kitchen in New York." We hav
Driven the thruway many times and always just use the rest area food courts but this time We looked for something different and glad we did. Eclectic decorated old railway car less than a mile from tool booth. Friendly fast staff. I had Belgian waffle and 2 eggs with sausage patty. The patty was huge and freshly pressed not some tiny precut circle. My wife had freshly cooked chicken sandwich with homemade chips. Kind of weird side of bread pudding but was delicious. $35 for us. Definitely worth a trip off the usual thruway fare. Thanks so much. Glad you loved our place.
