Set amid the rampant gentrification on Warren St, this cozy little restaurant provides a comfort breakfast or lunch at reasonable prices. We tried the homemade soup and half sandwich and they were flavorful and good value. Yes, the service is slow, so donât go here if you are in a hurry. Go here when you are sick of the hotsy totsy stores and cafes on Warren St and just want a touch of the old days. There are also homemade crafts and some antiques for sale as well as homemade baked goods. You can also make arrangements for a proper afternoon tea - by reservation.

Comfort food at affordable prices. Cozy atmosphere with a great beer, wine, and menu selection.
Food was pretty good. Bartender made great drinks. I had the cap read chicken which was good. We ordered creme brûlée which is my absolute favorite. Very disappointed. The sugar was not carmalized. We sent them back and they werenât much better. Good place great bartender food was nothing to write home about.

Modern Southeast Asian influenced restaurant featuring local farmers and food growers.
Service was great as were the appetizers crab cakes, Vietnam salad, Brussels sprouts) and the cocktails. Entrees were just ok. The âhalf chickenâ was more like a capon. Very small, offset by too much rice and sautéed greens. The noodle dish was also disappointing. If I go back will just do apps. Portions are very large. Also, got put at a table right next to the door on a cold evening and was told no other tables available. Be sure to ask for the back room

We first went for lunch. Everything was greatâburgers, astonishing liverwurst, great salads. We also did breakfast, which was nice. Friendly service, reasonable prices.

Cascades was a perfect spot for a very good, straightforward lunch--no frills, nothing "special," just really well prepared sandwiches, GREAT soup specials, and excellent service. We each had a "combination"--half sandwich and cup of soup--and couldn't have been more pleased. The soup choices--turkey and wild rice and lentil--were excellent (the lentil was rich, well seasoned, smokey, the turkey/wild rice filled with lots of vegetable and meat), and the sandwiches were (as per the title of the review) really huge--even the half sandwiches, with the fillings bursting out. My husband had the Mount Merino--a reuben, with lots of really nicely prepared corned beef; I a Mount Shasta, with perfectly ripe avocado complimenting the lightly smoked turkey. Each was accompanied by a hefty portion of kettle-fried potato chips. It's a popular lunch spot, with what appeared on a weekday to be a mostly local crowd. The service was prompt and friendly, and the meal quite reasonably priced. We'll definitely stop by again when next in the area.

The food and service are always excellent! Great place for couples or groups. The menu items are unique. The ambiance is warm and casual, but equally well-appointed and special.

My husband, sister, and brother in law and I had a very good dinner at Red Dot on the hottest weekend of the year! Needless to say, we decided to dine inside and had great service. The server was a personable young man who offered his curated opinions on the food. He was spot on with some dishes. The atmosphere was cozy and artsy.

For many years, Swoon was really the only adult restaurant in Hudson with lovely food and a great environment. In the interim, a number of other restaurants have opened of high caliber, giving Swoon more competition. Nevertheless, itâs a sophisticated choice with respectable offerings for the price. The interior is quite attractive with a long wood bar deep with the local cool kids. The tables are set in an old retail space with mosaic tiled floors, you know the type of place. I would recommend that this place is good both for a meal or just standing at the bar and having a drink or a snack. Itâs still one of the nicest restaurants on Warren Street.

We enjoyed an early Fall dinner at this Hudson venue near the train station. Farmers boasts a farm to table experience, and the Local Mushroom Pappardelle with Scallion Soubise fulfilled that promise nicely. Mrs Gyr gave the Loup De Mer (sea bass) with Stewed Beluga Lentils high marks as well. A full-bodied Sonoma Pinot rounded out our meals well. Cozy pub ambiance and friendly service. Thumbs up!

My wife and I stopped for lunch on a Saturday afternoon.Place was busy.I started with a cup of pretty split pea soup served with a slice of warm sourdough bread. Very ggod start. For lunch my wife ordered the Panini alla Norma which was very good; grilled eggplant, tomato, pesto on gluten free bread. Most restaurants will not grill the gluten free so this was a treat.I went with Dawn's Delight salad: apple, dried cranberries, toasted walnuts, Gorgonzola over a bed of mixed greens and served with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Very, very good. The waitress seemed a bit indifferent but the food was good.Definitely worth a try.
