Historical mill converted to a restaurant, ca. 10 min drive from Hot Springs / Homestead Resort. Refined and interesting decor, with some items from the mill incorporated into the dining room. Seating at a bar also available with a couple of tables for walk-ins. Restaurant prides itself from sourcing ingredients locally.Have been at the restaurant a couple of times before over the years and whereas the first visit six or so years ago was exceptional, this was nice, but nothing more.Menu was not as interesting as I recalled on previous occasions. Ended up with a cheese plate for starters to share among party of 4; ribeye steak, pork tenderloin, pasta bolognese, and burger for mains; mains came with salads. Chocolate cake and creme brulee for desserts. Food was very good overall, with the pasta bolognese probably the least impressive of the bunch. Service was friendly and good. Expect $50 per head, including tip but without drinks.Would I go back? Probably, but I'll check the menu first next time.

Family Style serving of Italian food that was just magnificent. The service was impeccable and extremely friendly. Tiramisu finished off the fantastic meal. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Rubino's.

My friend and I enjoyed Woody's so much at lunch we returned for dinner. We ate on the porch both times and enjoyed the views of the lush gardens. Menu has something for everyone. Service is great. Burgers and Pizza are excellent but other entree choices beckoned as well. Our favorite place to dine at the Homestead.

Had breakfast (3 times) and dinner once in the main dining room at the Homestead. Breakfast is always a buffet and it was plentiful and delicious. I love the homemade donuts and other baked goods. Plenty of delicious fruit and lots of options from which to choose. No reservations required for breakfast, but get there early...dining room fills up and a line forms for tables.Dinner is an elegant experience (but the dress code has relaxed in recent years). Reservations are a must and should be made long before your arrival at the resort. Sadly, we were seated beside the servers station this visit and that diminished the enjoyment of our meal (a steady stream of traffic, clanking dishes, servers conversing). Service was OK. The food was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend the chateaubriand. Unlike at Jefferson's, sides are included with your meal. We had a delicious pineapple sorbet for dessert. Our compliments to the chef!

A great little restaurant. It's far from fancy but the food is excellent and the service great. I recommend the Country Fried Chicken or the Southwestern Chicken. It's only a mile from The Homestead!

We were recommended this quaint restaurant by a server at another restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. The serving staff was very attentive and knowledgeable, recommending some excellent choices. The food was phenomenal, from the first course until the dessert. The wine selection was extensive for such a small restaurant. This was not a restaurant I would expect in Hot Springs, Va but I would highly recommend this dining experience.
