This place is not a "bakery", more like going into your moms for breakfast. Service was very good. You really don't feel like your at a restaurant. Large menu with many choices. I was let down that they mix in sweet potatoes into their homefries but don't actually list that. They don't have regular rye toast either. $25 for 2 people for breakfast was a bit much IMO. I then purchased a small dessert cookie and it was $5! I loved the atmosphere and such but a bit rich for my blood.

CAFE 511 adds considerable value to the "$100 hamburgers" or other entrees pilots order at destination or en-route stops during recreational flights. As a pilot AND local resident of Groton/Mystic, I can attest to the outstanding food AND service at CAFE 511. Dan and Nichole, owners, are cordial and attentive. My brother and I enjoyed a DELICIOUS cheeseburger served with DELECTABLE french fries. Amie, our wait staff, was efficient and cordial. Overall - a VERY ENJOYABLE lunch. I wholeheartedly recommend recommend CAFE 511 for breakfast and lunch. Nichole mentioned that they plan to open for dinner on Friday's soon. Date of review: 9 December 2018.

Fairly-new owners. I hadn't been there in years and now we're hooked on Norm's. The coffee is the best and bottomless. They serve quality food. Perfectly-prepared eggs, sausage, and bacon. Very accommodating and friendly. We've been with family and friends who walk out feeling the same way. Just ate there this morning and won't need to have lunch. Great small diner feel. You can watch your food being prepared !

I visited this establishment today, and...to be honest....I think people should be aware of what they're about to get into if they are planning on visiting it.
We ate breakfast here and it was good. Went back for supper. the menu is huge and should cover any kind of food you would want. Both times our waitress's needed improvement. Our breakfast waitress would disappear for long periods. We actually got up to leave and she finally showed up. The supper waitress was not friendly at all and passed up my empty glass several times. Food was just ok.

Located just outside Mystic, CT, Octagon prides itself on offering the finest steaks and freshest seafood everyday. Our menu changes seasonally and celebrates local ingredients harvested right here in our beautiful state of Connecticut. To our pleasure, o
What is clearly a hotel dining area is advertised as the Octagon restaurant. Not really elegant, private, or offering much in the way of atmosphere, the Octagon charges 5 star rates for 2 star fare. As hotel guests there for breakfast -- generally a situation in which it is assumed guests have places to go & desire quick service -- we were seated, then ignored for a solid ten minutes, until we literally waved our arms in a manner that could not credibly be overlooked by passing wait staff. We were told that our particular server would be informed -- a person who had not previously been seen showed up and with evident resentment accepted our questions -- no order, really, as the only options was the buffet.Generally this is not the kind of service we've received at Marriott hotels, and we were not pleased. The buffet was adequate, but not impressive. The omelette station chef overcooked both our omelettes -- brown inside and out, wow, that took some doing -- so the dry, lifeless wad of overcooked spinach, egg and onion i received as only held together by very stringy mozzarella, not the cheddar cheese i had requested.Okay, it's a hotel buffet, not Sardi's, I know, but...wow.Only a few miles from Mystic, the Octagon has no views of the river or ocean.Unlikely we'll return.

We have not visited Olio's for several years, since we moved further away. But happened to be in the neighborhood and wanted to return. Wonderful meal with a lot of variety. Excellent service and very responsive to our needs. We had a symphony to go to and we got there with time to spare. We are so glad to hear you visited us and enjoyed everything. We truly appreciate you taking the time to review us on trip advisor and glad you came in to dine with us.

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich sans bread. Opted for veggies as my side. Not because Iâm âon a dietâ but specifically because I wanted to have room for pie. My meal was good. The huge slice of blueberry crumb pie was delicious. Fair price. Quick service.

Only negative was the lack of parking, had to park a block away.Service was fantastic, I wish I could remember our waitressâs name. She was as pleasant as could be.We shared appetizers which were recommended. Everyone enjoyed their entrees.Definitely would return.

Just on the western fringes of Niantic, with excellent free parking, is Charlies Place. Our early Wednesday evening dinner was a mix of Italian and American dishes that were well proportioned, tasty and reasonably priced. The dining crowd was on the light side (5:45pm ?) and the service was excellent. We had a 7pm appointment in the village and the waitstaff accommodated that requirement with a smile. We'd be pleased to come back and dine again.
