Tiptonâs Cafe in Greeneville, TN is a historical, iconic, legendary eater thatâs only open from 11:00 pm - around 1:00 pm the next morning. Havenât eaten at Tiptonâs in almost 20 years (moves out of the area) until December 26, 2018. Tyler does a tremendous job at the grill. Got to try a grilled Honey Bun for dessert. Large portion sizes, great gravy & biscuits, hash browns with grilled onions, eggs, & sweet tea. Next time Iâm back, Iâm eating the donut hamburger. So yummy in our tummies. College football player approved too! Thanks for a great meal again.

I really like the food but...prices are a little high for what you get. There is an upcharge for almost everything. And the majority of the staff doesnât care if you have what you need for your meal at the drive through. Napkins and silverware should be standard if you get a bowl of chili or salad, never get crackers unless you specifically ask. Drinks are never full to the top of cup.

I had a club sandwich and my wife had the broccoli cheese soup and half a tuna melt. Every thing was delicious. The restaurant is in an historic restaurant with interesting photos of Greenville on the wall. Sandwiches are served with a doll pickle and chips. They had a good selection of soups, salads, sandwiches and hoagies on the menu.

The food is awesome and I can honestly say that I have not ordered anything that was not great. I love their steak sandwich and and onion rings, fried chicken, shrimp dinner and their prime rib. But again, ALL of the food is good. Their Thanksgiving dinner was out of this world (but you had to make reservations). The only downside, if you want to call it that is the place is almost always packed, so get there early.

The food is not bad when served warm. However, a 30 minute wait is unacceptable when they have so many servers. I have to presume the delay is in the kitchen. The servers write the time they take the order on the back of the ticket and also write the time served. That's how we know we waited for 30 minutes. This is a last resort restaurant for us.

We are a family owned restaurant. We have been in business for 30 years. We are very casual and have no desire to be "fancy" We want everyone to feel welcome when they dine with us!
Wow!! Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and our sides were yummy!! Fresh vegetable medley; did not taste frozen like some other restaurants. The gentleman who installed our wifi (we just moved here) recommended this place, and now we look forward to bringing son and daughter in law when they visit! Service was great even though the server was quite busy. All I can say is YUMMY!

On a recent trip to Greeneville to attend a concert, we rediscovered Fatz. Weâve dined at this eatery in other locations but this was our first time here. Itâs a beautifully designed, quite comfortable building offering great service, a comprehensive menu and excellent bar. A great choice for pre-show. Happy trails.,
