We were created by and for families in the Berkshires to bring real food to our friends and neighbors. Everything we sell is thoughtfully chosen, so you can rest assured that it's good for you and for our community.
This is not fine dining but if you want a grab and go or a "sit if you can fine a seat " breakfast, lunch, or even dinner this place will work. Free wifi, good coffee, friendly staff, and generally tasty food. Salad bar is very good. Thanks so much for visiting the Co-op! We appreciate your taking the time to write a review and hope we see you again soon!

Rio Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch(7-3pm daily). Breakfast served all day! Classic American favorites along with Some Mexican Specialties, Healthy Smoothies and SoCo Ice cream are our specialties! Welcome, everyone!
Fabulous smoothies, healthy salads and a great overall menu for people who are health conscious and like simple, well-prepared food. Vegetarians will be pleased with the options. The staff are cheerful and helpful. We went there twice, and bought take-out salads for our trip back home to Canada.

Eighteen year old daughter and I came here for breakfast. The pros: Service was friendly and we were invited to choose a table and seat our selves. The server was attentive. I appreciated that she had a nice personality and a big smile. I appreciated that there was a choice of non-dairy milks (oat, soy and almond) for their coffees. My daughter's pancakes looked fluffy and perfect. She said she really likes their lunch menu, though I didn't experience lunch myself. The cons: The "hot" latte was served warm, far from hot. Breakfast menu is not very good for vegans - there is dairy and/or eggs in almost every single item. I ordered a quinoa bowl, minus the eggs and sour cream. It was pretty good but a surprisingly tiny portion and the leafy greens were wilted. In addition, they really need to come up with a tofu, tempeh or other non-meat offering for folks who don't eat eggs. I dislike removing the eggs and dairy from a dish but not being able to replace those items with anything...we end up paying full price for less than the whole entree. Even an extra scoop of beans would have been a nice gesture. It would be great for GP Eats to add a tofu scramble or a wonderful bowl of oatmeal with toppings to the menu, and another "topper" for the quinoa bowl as an alternative to eggs and cheese. Also there are so many delicious meat substitutes today - that would be so much fun to see on the menu - maybe plant based bacon, sausage, etc. I am confident any or all of these vegan choices would sell beautifully in this demographic! The restroom across the hall was a dire mess. Overflowing paper towels, empty toilet paper dispenser and a toilet that took a couple attempts to flush (sorry to be descriptive - I know it's yucky!)Overall, I give it a B-. It was okay - not terrible, not great.....some pros, some cons. They can definitely do better with some simple improvements.

Great location right on Main Street but it is very difficult to find parking on the weekend. Otherwise, we really enjoyed this place. We just had drinks and appetizers but their nachos are fully loaded and delicious. It's a small, cozy place but we love the vibe and decor.

CLOSED Jan 1st, 10 days in April, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Brooklyn food pioneer Mark Firth has brought to the Berkshires the same rustic and delicious food he served at his previous restaurants, Marlow & Sons
We spend time in the Berkshires every summer and are always a bit disappointed in the quality of restaurants there. What a find this was. They were cooking over an oak fire behind the place when we parked and we met and talked with the chef. The very best entre' was the lamb kabob cooked over the fire; super tender with great spicing. The house made sausage was also delicious!

Whoa! This is a great place. Comfortable and casual. Eat inside or out in good weather. Amazing lemon parm french fries. I also turned my sandwich into a salad, which is a really great option. Tempting desserts, fresh ingredients, and fast services. Prices were reasonable too. Iâll be back for sure. The fried chicken sandwich with maple bacon jam turned into a salad instead was outstanding.

Seasonally inspired pub fare and traditional Neapolitan Pizza. Using Local, Regional, responsible and Sustainable products. Craft Beers and Cocktails.
My wife and I had dinner here on a Tuesday night in mid-April 2019. We are senior citizens and tourists, visiting Great Barrington for the first time. The dinner was excellent and we are so glad we chose the Public House. The mussels are outstanding and are served with a thicker-than average sauce with coconut flavoring. My wife's trout dinner was superb. The fish had crispy skin and it came with risotto and brussel sprouts (very tasty). For dessert the brownie a la mode was perfect. Good service. The place is popular and it got crowded as the evening went on. The room is lovely and historically renovated, and the exterior storefront is very attractive, as well. The restaurant is on the liveliest block in town - Railroad St. We highly recommend this eatery.

Since 1995 the Barrington Brewery has been serving our own Barn Brewed Beer and food made from scratch. We were the first brewery on the east coast to install a solar panel system that supplies solar-heated hot water for brewing and restaurant use.
Stopped here for lunch while on a fall drive through the Berkshires. Nice menu and great beer brewed on the premises. Service was very pleasant, atmosphere is casual and prices are very reasonable. Beer is available for take away also at reasonable prices for a brewery in New England. Recommended if traveling in the area.

I had been told how great this place was. It was a letdown. Service good. Back room quiet. Prices high but no tablecloths. Limited menu. I had the meatballs which were like rocks. Greek salad looked great. Ribs very good. Noisy when full. Maybe I should give it another try since consensus is that itâs very good.
