Good food although considering we just ordered a couple spinach dips, mozzarella sticks and a slice of cake it shouldnât have taken half an hour to come out. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Food is good though . Server very friendly and helpful
It's right on Sparrow Lake. I've been here a few times and each time the service is low and the food seems like it could be better. Still, it's very busy and there is nothing else nearby. If you want to eat ordinary fish and chips, this will do. The menu has other things as well. It's okay for the area but not worth a trip.

We tried to locate a Swiss Chalet in Gravenhurst and were redirected to the toll-free number who advised that there were no locations in Gravenhurst. However, there were locations in either Bracebridge or Etobicoke! When we finally contacted the restaurant, we were disappointed to discover that some of the typical Swiss Chalet items were not available, such as steamed vegetables and coconut cream pie. We placed our order for pick up. The staff were very young at this location and were unsure of what they were doing. I waited an additional 15 minutes for my order. The food was fine and the staff did apologize for the wait.

Passing through the area on a Saturday and we came into Gravenhurst for lunch. We surveyed the possibilities and settled on Bethune's Bistro. Not a fancy place but comfortable enough. Must say that I enjoyed our waitress and her dry sense of humour. I started off with the Chicken and Rice Soup, which was a decent sized serving. It tasted okay but there was nothing exciting about it. I then went with the Liver and Onions. The liver and onions with two perfectly pieces of bacon was very tasty, more so with the healthy dose of gravy. There was a very small portion of vegetables and a lump of mashed potatoes. The vegetables were good but the serving size was ridiculously small. The mashed potatoes were disappointing. My partner went with the fish and chips. The fries were nicely done and the piece of fish was a good size and very tasty. It had come with a very small container of tartar sauce which she said was excellent, we asked for some more and she was given some crappy craft tartar sauce in little pre-sealed containers, definitely not the same stuff. I will say that the prices were excellent, a very good value. I would try this place again. If you want decent food for a good value then you will probably like this place.

This an average place at best. Stopped here on our way to Midland. Accessible, although we had to walk there as parking not available close by. Wife was able to access via scooter.Very plain interior. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and my wife had chicken rice soup and a reuben. Food was okay, but nothing extraordinary. Menu listed any number of basic meals, and folks seemed satisfied. Only one waitress on duty when we got there, so service was slow.. Place is in an old building, More room for diners than many restaurants that cram in tables.

Food was good and tasty. We had burgers, pasta, and wings. Mostly standard, although the double bacon burger was a bit above the average. Jessica was running the bar and food section and did a great job answering questions, responding to requests, checking we were doing okay and all that good stuff, without hovering or disturbing us unnecessarily. Overall, good latish night meal and drinks in a local like atmosphere. Would visit again if I'm in the area.

A great year round waterfront restaurant. We are adjacent to local marina with fantstic view of lake muskoka. . Patio-Restaurant-Lounge.. Lunch and dinner are served in a quaint but causal atmosphere. We cook from scratch and our Menus change weekly . Our
My boyfriend and I have visited the restaurant twice this summer and have been wowed both times. On our most recent visit, we had French onion mushrooms to start followed by the blind lunch and trout salad. The blind lunch was a veal chop and vegetables in what can only be described as a magical chocolate kaluha sauce. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and showcases the chefâs love of creating unique, flavourful dishes. Connie and Jenni took care of our table and were delightful. The website says âCome as guests, leave as friendsâ. We really did feel welcome. My only complaint is that we canât come more often! We canât wait to return next year!
