Find out what American restaurants to try in Granite City. Granite City is a city in Madison County, Illinois, United States, within the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The population was 29,849 at the 2010 census, making it the second largest city in the Metro East and Southern Illinois regions, behind Belleville. Great wine list and beers on tap
Buffalo Bison was VERY good. They only have one cab selection for wine by the glass and thankfully it was really good. Lots of beer choices. Pretzel beer cheese was really Good. Also had the trout and it was excellent. Atmosphere was also great (we sat at the bar).
This is a wonderful family restaurant that has earned an impressive number of local customers based on great home-made style dishes, friendly service, and very, very reasonable prices. Although it sits on a busy Granite City intersection, it is easy to miss. This would be a mistake. If you try this once, you will become an instant "regular" each time you are in the area. We were impressed by the fact we were greeted by name the second time we visited many years ago and, also, by the way diners quickly become part of the Park Grill "family". It is easy to find yourself enjoying both a great meal and, at the same time, a lively conversation with other customers...it's that kind of place. While everything on the menu is outstanding, I recommend you come here for breakfast; there's no better way to start the day.
Wow staff super friendly very laid back and the local residents go there known by name all very positive itâs not a white table cloth restaurant but itâs certainly has a lot of character choices. Iâm getting bbq pulled pork comes with fries and drink all for under $7. They have daily specials as well plus a regular menu certainly something for everyone.

Upon arrival to St. Louis, we asked our Uber driver for his recommendation for BBQ, and he recommended SugarFire. He was so right!! The pulled pork and brisket were amazing. The stop in St. Louis was a small part of our nearly 2 week trip, and this meal at SugarFire was the best meal of the whole trip. Even the side dishes were excellent. One of my favorite things about this place is that they put the meat directly on a sheet of paper (looks like a cross between construction paper and contractor paper), and they serve the sides in little paper holders. This is so much better than generating piles of styrofoam. The price is great too. Don't be worried by the line in front of the restaurant--the line moves fast and you'll get in soon. We would almost return to St. Louis just to go here again!

This was a first visit for me. I decided to take myself out for my lunch break today. Very lovely atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service. Nice menu plus special offerings. Fresh iced tea. I chose the seasonal salad. The only concern was that it took thirty minutes to get my salad, hoping that was just a fluke. I would definitely go back.

Cafeteria style, but don't let that fool you. This place is no regular cafeteria. Everything is wonderfully made and nothing disappoints. My favorite is the Family Special: 16 pcs of chicken, rolls, your choice of two sides (twice baked potatoes are a MUST), rolls and cookies - all for an excellent price. Call ahead and get the family special to go so Mom doesn't have to cook! They have daily specials as well. Jerry's is a hometown favorite for a reason- they are awesome!

I visited Ravenellis with three friends as we get together a couple times a month. This was our second visit to this place. We were seated toward the back, in a corner which was very quiet. Our server was quite attentive and kept our drinks filled. I ordered a large apple Gorgonzola dried cranberry salad. It was very good. It had a sweet and tart flavor which I love. I look forward to our next visit as I can't seem to get enough of this salad.

My niece and I stopped in here for breakfast after visiting the Columbia Bottom Conservation Area across the river in Missouri. Service was very good, and our breakfast was great. I didn't want the potatoes that came with my omelet, so the waitress offered to substitute grilled tomatoes instead, which was very nice of her. Would definitely come back here again.
