Lots of breakfasts in the US are either over-priced or chain restaurants without sincerity or character and breakfast here felt like a down to earth family diner with reasonable prices and good quality food and service. Always a good sign that it is busy and full of locals. Happy to recommend this.

My wife and I had dinner here this past weekend, and it was the same as always - superb food and service combined. We sat on the back deck, overlooking the Erie Canal, which provides the perfect backdrop for a lovely dinner. I had the arugula salad with shrimp and scallops (both extra additions), which were wonderful. And I love the garlic butter they serve with their dinner bread; it's just perfect. The service was superb, and every bit of the meal was great. We love this place and highly recommend it to anyone.

Richardson's Canal House is a casual gourmet kitchen set on the scenic banks of the Erie Canal in Pittsford, NY.
The wife and I found this restaurant in Pittsford, NY while driving through. The wife had a ceaser salad with salmon, and I had a clam boil. You will not go wrong with either meal they were both delicious.Thank you for the kind words, we're so glad you found us and enjoyed everything.

The Pub is great for both lunch and dinner. Located in the Perinton Wegmans parking lot, the Pub is responsive to allergies, willing to make accommodations for the customer and produces good drinks and excellent food at a fair price. Try the housemate pretzels served with a beer cheese sauce. Delicious. Ditto for the fish tacos.

It wasn't too crowded on a recent Saturday evening when we stopped in for dinner. I've heard that Friday nights for the fish fry can be absolutely jammed. We did have to wait 20 minutes or so for a table though it appeared some tables were empty. Once seated our waitress was very efficient getting us our food and drinks. The menu is pretty big with both typical tavern fare and some real Irish specialties. We both ordered the beef on weck - it was a solid sandwich. The roll was excellent. The onion rings were good for being breaded, though I prefer beer battered. And the fries were huge.Overall a good choice in Fairport.

We stayed for an over-night package to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. Upon arriving at Horizons the older female hostess was very pleasant and wished us a happy anniversary without us even prompting that it was our anniversary. She sat us by the windows shortly before the sun set - very picturesque. We were next greeted by our waiter Marco with 2 glasses of champagne and a happy anniversary from him as well. We ordered a bottle of Riesling (that was warm and had obviously not been chilled) and to start we both ordered the lobster bisque - it was very good. For our entrees I had the scallops and although they were good they were not seared properly. My wife ordered the Delmonico steak - it was prepared correctly and tasted very good. For desert we shared the crem brulee and it also was good. Our waiter Marco accidentally charged us for the initial complimentary champagne but realized his error and removed it off of the bill. Marco, although a very nice waiter, was quite absent throughout most of the dinner service. The waiter tending to the tables adjacent to us was phenomenal and we actually had to ask him to take our picture because we got tired of waiting for Marco to show up.So, all in all, it was a pleasant experience and would recommend to at least give it a try.

A must stop in the village of Fairport, just north of the Erie Canal. Excellent food, the service is great and a very comfortable place to sit and relax for a beer, snack, lunch, or dinner. A wife range of choices to eat and the portions are above average. We love visiting Donnelly's. Right next door is a great place for pizza: TKs. A must stop as well!

We were a large work group for breakfast before heading out for a day of community service. Portions were large, service was prompt and we were fueled for the day, but the meal did not stand out. We ordered all the standards: pancakes, eggs, coffee, home fries and more - it filled us up but as a local diner with a large following we were expecting a bit more. If you are in Fairport and need a quick meal it will do the trick and the price is right, plus it is a local business which is great to support. Would I go back for a group breakfast, sure, but would also want to try some of the townâs other breakfast spots that have a large following too.

We go here all the time. Have always appreciated the service, love the atmosphere and the high back booths make our silly family fun feel like weâre almost at home getting away with our nonsense without many people noticing. We all love the food and there is a great variety of it.We highly recommend it.Thank you for the kind words and recommendation. We are so glad your family feels comfortable here. We look forward to serving you (and your silly family) again soon!JohnMcArdle's
Surprise your wife, he thought....Take her to a new breakfast place, he thought...it'll be cool. Such a poor staffing plan. 1 guy had r leaves of bread...waited and put them back and left....we waited 8 minutes just to order oatmeal and a standard sandwich...still waiting after 11 more minutes. I don't really care how it tastes or if its fresh... ok....just got it.ooks good, however, not what I ordered and cold.Steve, thank you very much for your feedback. I'd like to apologize on behalf of the entire VBC team for the issues you experienced during your last visit. This is certainly not our standard and not what you should expect from us. Please accept our deepest apologies. If you're open to it, please send me an email with your dining information so we can continue the conversation. Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you. Therese O.Guest Relations [email protected]
