Find out what American restaurants to try in Fairbanks. Its far north location means Fairbanks gets the midnight sun in the summer and the northern lights during Aurora Season (August to April). These wonders define the city, along with winter activities, the gold rush past, Alaska Native heritage, a vibrant arts scene and “golden heart” hospitality. Enjoy dog mushing, panning for gold, floating the Chena River or visiting a museum. Add a nearby trip to a hot springs, Denali, the Arctic or the Interior. Fairbanks is the gateway to discovering Alaska.

We dropped in at Bug Daddyâs to get dinner upon arrival in Fairbanks. We were starved & the burgers looked superior so we all ordered one. They were very good. The place was pretty busy but our server really took good care of us. It was pretty warm in the place too!

There aren't a lot of options for restaurants in this area, but based on other reviews we were looking forward to eating here. We ordered the halibut sandwiches and were disappointed. They came on a large bun with plenty of lettuce, tomato & onion slices, pickles, etc but the "fresh halibut" looked like a breaded hockey puck. Tasted ok but not something I'd do again. The pile of french fries were heavenly, but the potato salad had so much mayo it was more like soup. The pies looked delicious so we took a slice of apple and a slice of strawberry rhubarb home with us to eat later. Again, we were disappointed. The fillings were good, though a bit sweet, but the crust was extremely thick and "flat" tasting. Service was very good. Ambiance was perfect rural truck stop. There's a "mini market" inside as well where you can get basics and necessities (dry goods, frozen items such as entrees, pizzas, veggies, desserts, and beer/liquor). Note that they are working on the Elliott Hwy and traffic is a bear -- lots of flagmen and stop/go traffic.

Known for more than 40 years of Hospitality along the Chena River , we are glad to have you as our guest. So relax and enjoy our Alaskan Spirit !!!
Summer is over and most of the tourists have gone. I think in the summer this place might be nice with the outdoor seating and river view, etc. We went for a midday meal and although it wasn't too crowded, there were only one or two servers and the service was extremely slow. Friendly, but very slow. The food was okay, but very pricey as it is most places in Alaska, of course, but $24 including tip for a burger and soda? Very old looking and outdated interior as well. I appreciate history and all, but it really could use a little updating.

This was the first time in Fairbanks and Wolf Run had a good write up. Our server Christine was great, friendly and very efficient. I had the salmon and my wife had pork chops. The prices were higher but not unreasonable, then we saw the portions and the prices looked reasonable. Everything was delicious, fresh and nicely seasoned. Unfortunately we did not have room for desert.which looked great. If we are back here we would absolutely return.

Husband and I are visiting Fairbanks and accidentally found Brewsterâs. We had already tried to find two other places and apparently directions were wrong. BUT so glad we didnât go elsewhere, God just directed us here..ââï¸. We had nachos which were very good but was a little too heavy on cheese for us. We both had the Apple Walnut Salad and were well pleased. So good. Best one Iâve ever had. I recommend Brewsterâs. Our server was perfect. The restaurant was clean and nice.

Located on the ground floor of Mariott Springhill Suites, Lavelleâs is a unique fine dining restaurant in Fairbanks serving delicious food and an astounding selection of fine wine in a warm, refined atmosphere. In a place where casual restaurants dominate
Everyone talked about this place and we are so glad we listened. Delicious house special appetizer, a Caesar salad, the Halibut and the salmon from the Chefs table were all delicious. The food came out at a leisurely yet prompt pace.

Nestled on the banks of the Chena River, Chena's Alaskan Grill, open for lunch and dinner is a favorite for local residents and visitors alike. Enjoy an incredible meal, sip your preferred wine from our extensive selection, while seated indoors or out on
This restaurant is on the Chena River with both inside and outside seating. It is walking distance from Pike's Waterfront Lodge and the Princes Hotel. The Halibut was good but the Alaskan Seafood Chowder had mostly potatoes but little seafood. I thought the prices were high but this is Alaska Tourist pricesDear 2skidivers,Thank you for your review/comments following your dining experience at Chena's Alaskan Grill.Pleased that you enjoyed the Halibut, however regret that you did not overly enjoy the seafood chowder. Normally there is an abundance of seafood incorporated into the recipe. For sure this was an anomaly and we will ensure that it remain an isolated incident, which we believe it to be.We appreciate your business and hope to welcome you back sometime in the foreseeable future.Kind regards!

Can't use 100 words to describe my fine breakfast (or brunch), but it was very good. (Now I will add a bunch of spaces to make the minimum # characters.)

Large place with a wonderful atmosphere. Clean and bright with unique items and displays all around. The food was delicious and the menu diverse. Entrees were presented nicely and the service was exceptional. Full bar and some nice craft beers to choose from. I would highly recommend.
