The waitress was very attentive to our needs. I ordered the Spinach Dip side dish. I believe the chips were homemade since they had a different taste from other chips. I ordered the barbeque ribs along with sweet potato fries. The ribs were very delicious; however, the fries were overdone. There is also an extra fee of $1.50 for the sweet potato fries. The atmosphere was very cordial. I would recommend this restaurant. They offer both a two for $20.00 meal and a two for $25.00 meal.
I use to enjoy eating here. But there has been a recent turn over of staff. Not sure if they got new management or what. But just about every one that has been there for any time is gone. The food and service both has taken a turn for the worst. I now drive an additional 20 miles (right past this place) to get some good breakfast.
Wide selection of sandwiches and salads .. Looks newly remodeled. Has a drive through, as well. I go at least 6 times per year.

We always enjoy our inexpensive lunch at our local ARBY's. The meat quality is good, warm and tasty and the bunds are fresh. The Manager has been there a long time, remembers us and calls me by name. It is a nice place to go for a change of fast food - served up fresh.

Local small town diner with good breakfast and excellent service. Checkerboard table cloths give it a warm cozy atmosphere.

Dubious Claims Brew Pub is a relatively new brewery in downtown Excelsior Springs. They serve both food and their own craft beers, but I was there for drinks only. They have a standard flight of four beers for a reasonable price of $9. Twelve choices were available to select four for the flight. The beer menu is pretty descriptive of the beer offerings. Of the four I had, the Embalmer Milk Stout turned out be the best tasting one. They also sell their beers to go in their own crowler cans or they can refill growlers customers bring in. Prices are very reasonable, except for the Chocolate Cherry Delight Porter, which is a premium one.Dubious Claims is a delectable brew pub with great craft beers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their beers, and the place is very enjoyable to lounge around or play games with friends.

My family and I visited the hotel for a quick getaway. This hotel is amazing, and I am a big time hotel snob. The beds are comfortable. The room was super clean. The staff is friendly. Shoutout to Dani the bartender...she makes a nice cocktail. The ghost tour is a must. Jay the tour guide is very knowledgeable about the history and stories. The lap pool is is phenomenal. We did not get to experience the Spa, but when we return I am going to pamper myself. I canât comment on the hotel food. We did not eat there.

My family had breakfast here while we were on a short trip to Excelsior Springs. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. We really enjoyed the "diner atmosphere." The owner even told us the history of the place and her future updates she has planned!

A travel article said it was the best BBQ in the KC area, in fact was recognized in a national article on best BBQ restaurants. I went with great expectations. I'm from St Louis area, but have eaten at Arthur Bryant's in KC many times. That was the standard that I expected. They were out of brisket, so to be fair, I couldn't judge on that basis. But they're supposed to be famous for their ribs. My husband got a half rack of baby backs. They came out bone dry. Even the sauce couldn't redeem them. I ordered the turkey and pork combo. The turkey tasted like a processed meat, was limp and came out cold. The pork didn't have much flavor. The beans were good. My husband said his fries were just OK, nothing special. He usually eats all his fries. This time he left a lot of them. The restaurant is in a charming little red brick train depot. It's well decorated and there were a lot of guests there. The waitress was nice, but service slow, long wait for a simple meal.

I hosted a group of about 17 women for a wine flight luncheon here before going to Four Horses and a Dog Winery. We took the trolley from The Elms and upon entering were greeted warmly and taken to the downstairs dining room. Very cute space with quaint decor and lovely place settings. We enjoyed 2 types of small sandwiches, soup, dessert and several wines. All were delicious and the perfect size for lunch without feeling overly full. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the wines we tried as well. We had a few ladies not show that had pre-booked and the staff was so kind to box up the extra meals for us to take back to our hotel. We all loved shopping in the gift shop upstairs as well. Very cute gifts and lots of wines to choose from. Overall a lovely relaxing lunch with great food and service.
