Wyoming's best Steakhouse! Flame grilled steaks cooked to perfection! A touch of class meets the west.
Staying across the street in the RV Park, we decided to just walk to dinner. I checked reviews on Trip Advisor & decided to go for it. Hubby had the chicken fried steak & I had the ribs. Ribs were very good! Fall off the bone, eat with a fork tender. That was all I ate from my plate. The green beans had a weird vinegar taste & the garlic potatoes looked like they were from the day before. The chicken fried steak was tough in my opinion but hubby liked it ok. I also thought the mashed potatoes & gravy had a weird tangy taste. We had just come from Texas where chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes & gravy are a staple. Dessert was a little tasty chocolate treat!

Ate at the Gateway Grille at the Purple Sage Golf Course last night. Food was ok, nothing special but not bad either. If I'm ever in the area again, I wouldn't mind stopping by there again though.Played their golf course today. And have to say FABULOUS course. Can't imagine a nice course like this in a little town like Evanston. Front 9 was kind of easy, back 9 was where the fun began. Wish I lived closer so I could play it again.

Really enjoyed the mixed lemonade w/ watermelon drink. Salisbury steak and the Sirloin steak with the squash were fabulous! Other issues, things that detracted from this restaurant, were the wait to find the only waiter when we arrived (over 5 min), he was very scattered/running around (may have been short staffed); took an order for our appetizer (deep fried cheese curds), which was never delivered to our table, but we were charged $9 for, without our bill ever delivered to us, either; lastly, the pistachio coconut cream pie was ... a small tart that an 8th grade daughter would make in home economics (NOT a slice of pie)! Willing to give them one more shot, as there may have been issues with short staff, and the entrees were exceptional! But overcharging for food not delivered, and that embarrassment of a pie ... has made us question the standards that need closer watch! The waiter WAS pleasant, but stuck doing something in the kitchen! We were there on Feb 12th.

We love the Painted Lady! It's a very casual bar and restaurant with an awesome ambience. Their burgers and sandwiches are my new favorite in the area. Great fries too which is a huge bonus for me. :-) The owners are a local couple who are insanely nice and helpful. The service is great too. Two thumbs up and 5 stars from me. Give them a try if you haven't recently. We heard today that they are going to start having brunch Saturday and Sunday. Count me in!!

Full service restaurant and lounge serving breakfast buffet, cooked to order breakfast, lunch and dinner with the largest soup and salad bar in town. Burgers, sandwiches, fish, pasta, steaks, and appetizers. You can place an order on-line using legaltende
We had a late arrival into Evanston on Sunday, June 30, 2019 and were noticing that many restaurants were either closed for the day or closing soon. We asked a business near the hotel for a food recommendation and they suggested Legal Tender. It wasn't showing up on Google Maps so I was surprised to learn of a place just down the street from the motel. We were lucky because the food and service were excellent (thanks you, Corey).

We stopped here on our way through and will definitely stop again. It is a simple restaurant with great food and friendly service! I had a Canal Street spinach wrap that was melt in your mouth good and my husband had a Grand Ave. sandwich that he also loved. Hint: if you are driving a big vehicle (like our RV) don't try to park on Main Street. There is parallel parking on the street behind the deli and a back entrance in the alleyway.

I split a cobb salad and a turkey wrap with my friend, and take my turkey wrap 1/2 to go, as Iâm already satisfied with the 1/2 salad! Comes with beer battered fries or sweet potato fries or onion rings...$28 included two Arnold Palmers unlimited refills.

Lincoln Highway Tavern is a cozy sports tavern serving expertly handcrafted cocktails and seasonal drink specialties, ice-cold draft beer, wine, and scratch-made roadside comfort food. We also offer package beer, wine, and liquor. We show sports and class
Passing through Evanston we tried the Lincoln Tavern a second time. The food was still good but we were disappointed by the servers. They were swearing and cussing like "seamen". Not that i don't talk like that occasionally but i don't think it is appropriate when waiting on the public. Not sure we will return.

We had heard about this restaurant's portions and varied menu, but were surprised it was such a dive. The interior needs updating, but, the food was amazing. With the giant portioned steaks, you get appetizer, soup, salad, bread, potato, and dessert! Make sure you make reservations in advance!

This is what you call a classic retro diner with memorabilia on the wall, large open table area with a counter also - atmosphere like a truck stop. The fare is a variety of burgers, sandwiches, fish n chips, and some cafe style dinners. The service was quick and friendly. I had a Philly sandwich which was fair, but it was placed on a red and white checker paper on the plate. The grease from the sandwich saturated the paper, which meant the paper came up with the sandwich as I cut and ate it. I would rather have it just on the plate (although I understand the motif). My wife had the roast beef dinner, which was ok, but very basic brown gravy probably from a can or mix. The battered fries were good. I can't comment on other food items. Good choice for Evanston, but would be so-so anywhere else.
