Bernie's is obviously a local favorite with an extensive menu, reasonable prices, and plenty of "specials" during the week. We were staying at a B&B in town and visited Bernie's twice for dinner. We ate at Bernie's on a Monday night to sample their Mexican cuisine and again later in the week to take advantage of their prime rib special. I enjoyed both meals although some items were not as flavorful as I had hoped they would be. I must say, however, that their salsa & chips really kicked butt. The coconut cream pie that I ordered for my dessert one night was seriously lacking in any coconut flavor and was simply ho-hum. Next time I will opt for the bourbon pecan pie which sounded really good. On a positive note, the portions are very generous and you certainly won't leave Bernie's hungry. Our B&B was within walking distance so we were able to burn up some calories on our stroll back to the inn. The atmosphere at Bernie's is informal and the servers are very friendly and polite. We also found that other patrons were quite relaxed and eager to engage in conversation with us. Everyone has a story to tell and Bernie's seemed to be a good place for doing that. I would definitely go back when in the area again.

Beautiful place, charming in fact. The staff was great. The food was exactly as it should be, delicious. My husband loved the ribeye steak, and the sauce served with my salmon dish was the best thing Iâve tasted in a while. But then we had the dessert, a 20 out of 10 (we almost ordered a second helping!!)

Was too loud and warm. The place was clean and the service was good. The prices were alright. The food was 5 courses and some were good and some were just ok.
I stopped in for dinner around 5pm. (This used to be Halvy's Cafe) It has a 50's decor. The walls are a light blue. Everything looks bright and new. I enjoyed the 50's music coming from the kitchen area. I almost wish they had a jukebox in the dining area where people could dance. (It's not roomy enough though)I ordered the spinach salad and asked to hold the mushrooms. And I ordered spaghetti with meatballs. The waitress brought them out at the same time. I was hoping the salad would have come out first. She failed to tell the cook to leave off the mushrooms. The salad was bigger than I expected. You can't find a spinach salad in other local restaurants. I just wish they'd add some seeds, or sliced almonds, maybe some cherry tomatoes. The spaghetti was a little smaller than I expected. But, that was fine with me. I thought it was just the right size. The meatballs were a little tough, and the garlic toast could have been toasted a bit more. But, it was ok.The fountain soda came without ice, but it was cold. It could have tasted a little better. But, it wasn't bad. The waitstaff was friendly and did pretty well. I was surprised to get the check without the prices broken down. It was just a total amount.I took pictures of the current menu. I see it's different from the one on their website. I know they've only been open for 2 weeks and the menu is evolving. I hope they are successful. I loved the booths and the atmosphere. You should check it out. I'll be back again.

The Abbey never disappoints. We had such a good buffet dinner for our large group (30 ish people) -- turkey, london broil, salad, carrots, etc ... The turkey was beautifully cooked. The sweet tea was a pleasant surprise with dinner. Our waitress was great and did a marvelous job of clearing the tables without disrupting the speaker who had started during dessert. Bravo!

Hi this restaurant claimed to have some 'Mexican' dishes and when I ordered a fish burrito I was disgusted by the ''salsa'' that was actually made with canned tomatoes. That is NOT how you make salsa! The fries weren't very good either. I'ts too bad there doesn't seem to be much else around there. Will not be back.
Joined a winter indoor golf league this year, and went to the Dairy Center for the first time Sunday; What a great place! There are bowling lanes, a restaurant, a virtual game room that includes two golf machines; or for the kids birthday parties they can become baseball machines, hockey machines, alien dodge ball; and many more. There are pool tables, pin ball machines, basketball shooting machines, skee ball...a great big arcade all for fun. The service and the staff are the best! Had a fantastic meal while playing golf from their outstanding restaurant and a few drinks from the lounge to complete the visit. Glad I get to go back every week.

We stopped in and had a great lunch here. The friend pickles and fried green beans were excellent. For mains the onion rings and a burger were spot-on. The setting is fantastic, and old post office, with original wood floors.Service was super-friendly and attentive throughout. There is free parking right on the square.
