We are a home town establisment, locally owned restaurant with an attached, yet separate, bar. Serving Elko since 1993, our motto is "Come as a Stranger, Leave as a Friend". Our food is like home made and never poured from a bag, Our burgers are hand pres
Ive eaten here twice within a month, decided to give the benefit of the doubt after a poor first experience. This is a privately owned Dennys with a drinks license at best. Most of the offerings are fried or out of a packet. Vegetables are pretty hard to come by here, in fact at best its basic fried food. Wince was grossly overpriced, a $10 supermarket wine for $26! From the other reviews there are better places around town, so Im gonna try them before going here again.Hello Welltraveled. Sorry you had a disappointing experience at Matties. I wonder what you ordered? Though some of our appetizers are deep fried, most of our food is not, and only a few items (again, only appetizers) are "out of a packet" . For appetizers we offer fresh cucumbers n tomatoes with blue cheese and basalmic vinegar which is one of our best sellers and we have a section devoted to a "healthy menu". We apologize your servers were not able to help you find more suitable food to your liking on our extensive menu.

We couldn't be more excited about the overwhelmingly positive reception our new restaurant, Aspens, has enjoyed from both Elko residents and visitors to Northeastern Nevada! Aspens' guests find a warm, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for an after-work cocktai
A nice restaurant in the back of the casino, but the smell of smoke still drifts in. It's too bad, because in every other respect it is a reasonably good restaurant. The food was good, the service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable, but if you don't want that smell of smoke while you dine, you should find somewhere else to go. If they could somehow close the restaurant in with a door or something like that, it would be a vast improvement.

Located in the Gold Country Inn and Casino
Service was outstanding- waitress was friendly and delightful. FoodWas mediocrely at the best. Ordered steak medium -Was very well done. Ribeye steak was over cooked and had a hard time cutting it with a knife. Cocktails were Mediocre - bottom line- service was excellent- food not worth the price.

They serve a great steak sandwich with salad and fries. It is a diner frequented by the locals. We liked the sandwich so much we returned for breakfast . The omelets have 3 eggs and can easily be shared. They have an extensive menu and can accommodate special requests.

I was in Elko for a meeting and we ordered from Ogi's for a working lunch. The sandwiches were delivered quickly and our large order was filled accurately. I thought the menu was varied and quite unique, and really enjoyed my sandwich. The salads my colleagues ordered were ginormous and looked delicious. Would definitely order from Ogi's again.

Stopped into Machiâs after reading the good reviews online. I arrived just past 6pm and was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who indicated I could sit wherever I chose as there were just a handful of patrons. Dining alone, I took a seat at the bar and was welcomed by a friendly bartender. I looked over the menu (lots of interesting items to choose from) and decided to have a prime rib which came with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and a very nice side (Caesar) salad. I enjoyed a glass of red wine with my supper. Everything was delicious and my prime rib was cooked exactly as I had specified. Prices are very reasonable and portions are quite large. The bar staff checked in periodically to see how I was and engaged in some friendly banter with this âlone stranger.â I was made to feel most welcome here and most attractive the urban-rustic atmosphere provided a comfortable, relaxed environment for me to enjoy my evening meal.Thank you for the review. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Breakfast . Lunch . Sweets
We stopped on our way across Nevada and we sure are glad that we did. This place is a gem. Great sandwiches for lunch. Highly recommended. The potatoes with panko and cheese were only ho-hum.

This restaurant is on a side street. There is street parking and also a big free parking lot across the street. The seating area is large with booths all around the walls and tables in the middle. When we arrived the booths were almost completely full, and the tables were empty. We are not big eaters so we shared a chopped steak dinner. The food was good, the only thing that bothered me was that it came immediately. First, the salad, then less than 5 minutes after we ordered, the steak dinner came. Now I know that you can't cook a steak in less than 5 minutes. I had ordered the steak medium well and it was well done so it must have been cooked ahead. Still, the food was good and well worth the cost. Since we shared the meal, we splurged and shared a piece of their 4 layer chocolate cake. It was a nice meal, the waitress was friendly, and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely go there again if in the area.

This restaurant has been in Elko for 100 years and is a must go to every time we are in Elko. It is family style seating with an abundance of delicious dishes along with the entree: cabbage soup, beans, salad, French fries, spaghetti, coffee. The lamb chops are delicious. Make sure you arrive hungry.
