Hi we live in Spain and thought a few days away in the Cadiz area would be a nice break and thought the best place to stay was El Puerto de Santa Maria, so having looked on Tripadvisor for places to eat, we thought we would find and check out the Number 1 rated restaurant in El Puerto Santa Maria. It was 19.30 on a Tuesday evening when put the address into Tom Tom and away we went, only to find it was shut so we thought maybe Tuesday's were their normal day to close, so we decided to come back tomorrow, so back we went on Wednesday guess what shut, we thought something's wrong, so on the Thursday we were coming back from Jerez around lunch time and had to pass Beinmesabe when we noticed it was open!!!, so a quick turn round, parked up and went in, we asked the proprietor was he open Hoy (today), Si he said, we said when tonight (esta noche) he said 20.30 so we had been going to earlySo that night we arrived at 20.35, we were welcomed and here is the irony when I told him about tripadvisor and showed him on the web page that he was the No:1 rated place to eat he knew nothing about it, there were no Tripadvisor stickers on the Window or Doors My wife and I ordered Chicken, Fries (Large Home made ones), Chicken Nuggets, Chicken Croquettes, we asked for vino and we were given a lovely bottle of Rioja, not the two glasses we expected but the whole bottle with olives and small bread sticks, our meal arrived and it was all as good as previous travelers had said excellent and the best bit was yet to come, for when we asked for the bill he wrote down 13 euros and asked if that was okay we said yes left a nice tip and thanked him for his hospitality. This is no fancy all singing and dancing restaurant, it is a Chicken on the Spit place, with wholesome food great prices that has been going since 2005, so check it out if you want chicken tonight!!

Good friendly pub where staff speak excellent English. Haven't eaten here, I just go for the live music. Recent St Patrick's night was disappointing as the Irish dancing was modern jazz, not traditional Irish. However given this is rural Spain it's nice to get a pint of Guiness!

Real New York Pizza, made by hand. We make the dough, we make the sauce, and its all made with love. Great salads. Real Buffalo wings. Hot hero sandwiches, amazing bbq ribs, belgian fries, and more. Cocktails and drinks too.
I could not pick a single ingredient on my pizza that was at least "good." The cheese had a rubbery texture. The sauce was non-existent and tasted like Hunt's tomato paste with no added seasoning. The dough was undercooked and bland. The pepperoni looked and tasted like it came out of a plastic grocery store container. We also ordered the half rack of ribs, which tasted like they were boiled and then brushed with KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. To finish off the experience, the to-go box was so flimsy that it nearly collapsed under the weight of a partially eaten pizza so I had to fold it under my arm while carrying my kid out the store. When we first arrived here in Spain (from the US), a friend told us that we have to lower our expectations for everything. I didn't know I would have to lower them this much. it just seems like everything time we venture out to try to find a decent restaurant, we're just throwing our money away as we get "Spained" every time.

We had arepas ( tiny and not very authentic) with 3 different sides... they were so tiny that whenever you tried to put any filling in them, they would split... the tequeños were undercooked and not very flavoursome... considering that weâve lived in Venezuela and we know the food quite well, this was a waste of time and money... 10⬠per arepa set is way too much, specially for the size... obviously weâre not coming ever again... there better places around the area!

The restaurant is is a great location and the service you could not fault. I ordered tuna, which was delicious but a bit less salt would have been better. Although I read the menu in Spanish and English I did expected some side but what I had was a small amount of green shredded vegetable, but not much of a portion of the ratio to the meat. I am probably old fashioned or just not so familiar with high end eating but beautifully situated and exceptionally clean. Please do not let these comments deterr as it may just be up your kind of thing. I believe their black bread fish cake meal is delicious...I will have that next time.
