I am in their parking lot writing this review.Wow. All of a sudden (?) this place is a fast food restaurant. That is not a compliment! We arrived before lunch. Were seated immediately.Coffee is just as rich as before.I ordered a simple, cheese omelet.I have ordered omelet here before and have not been disappointed. This one was a complete bust.My colleague also ordered an omelet. His was well scrambled and fluffy, full from end to end and side to side with ingredients.Mine was a thin, slimy layer of barely scrambled eggs (I despise egg white), folded over an uneven pile of cheese. The waitress came back as I was dissecting my meal to find the not slimy, over-cooked edges and not unscramble egg white portions and to cut away the excess of cheese from one side and share it with the other side. She asked everything ok and was gone before I could look up or answer. Not that I would have sent it back by that point as my colleague was half finished.Next time we saw her that she stopped was to ask if we wanted a refill (coffee) - our plates had been cleared. We declined because, let's be honest, I was pretty well done with the place by this point. So, we go to the host station to pay and the girl there (who looked more like she should be clubbing in her knit, green, skin-tight mini-dress and thigh-high black boots) asked if we wanted to split the check evenly. Seriously? Does no one care that my meal was mediocre AT BEST?!?!Don't expect much if you're an adult who remembers what service means. Truly professional service persons can "read" their clientele. I was certainly putting enough signals out there that properly trained people who have clearly understood this would be the outcome of their lack of attention. My colleague already didn't prefer this chain. I am all about finding other places to go from now on.

A high-energy neighborhood restaurant and tavern, Bennigan's is relentlessly focused on the people, food and experience that define it. Every member of the team "bleeds green" to go above and beyond the casual dining expectations of today. Our new restaur
Spent the day at Santaâs vintage. Stayed at holiday inn so we figured weâd stay close for dinner. We havenât ate at a bennigans in years as our local one close 10 years ago. I have to say we thought it was mediocre at best. We both had the (spicy chipotle burgers). Over cooked after being ordered med rare, and basically flavorless. Wish they would have been more flavorful. Fries were ok. Plus side was that each kid ate free for every $12 entire which wasnât hard to do as most meals were at least that. We would try again if we were in the area. Service was good and waitress was tentative.Thank you for your feedback. we are sharing your comments with our staff and working hard on retraining our grill cooks on proper cooking procedures to meet our guest requests. We loved serving you and want to thank you for being our guests.

OUR MISSION To provide our community with a unique locally sourced farm-to-table dining experience where the food is always fresh and you leave feeling like family.
It was my husband's 60th birthday, and this is one of our favorite restaurants, so I booked the third floor for a buffet. Chef Maria helped me plan a buffet so that there was food that people with 6 different food sensitivities could have- vegetarian, extreme Celiac's, migraines, and three different food allergies. It was PERFECTLY adapted so that everyone had more than one option that they could eat in appetizers, main courses, AND desserts. My husband's and my favorites- the braised short ribs with feta spinach ravioli and the corn chowder- were delicious as always and made new fans out of the guests that could try them. I found the price VERY reasonable- with an open bar it was about $40 per person when we added the wonderful empanadas at the last minute (they come in regular with beef and gluten-free with chicken). Our bartender/server, Niko, was outstanding and all of the other staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. The third floor is vintage and has good views, plus a back balcony over the river. We had 22 people for sit-down dinner and it was rather loud at each table- although it's rated for at least twice that, I think it would be REALLY loud.We so loved being a part of your celebration! Thank you for thinking of us and for being patrons of our restaurant. We were happy to accommodate your needs and those of your guests. If you ever have a need for an event again in the future, please think of us! We would love to host you again.

I love this quaint pub/restaurant. There's stone and wood, a tin ceiling, stained glass, Celtic crossed, Irish maps...and Cubs memorabilia. There's a long bar, high top tables, a private dining area by a stone fireplace, and an outdoor patio with a river view that welcomes dogs. And the food is delicious, generous, and high quality. My husband had the McNee burger---over a pound of black angus with a fried egg, Cheese, and bacon not to mention the normal garnish. And no, he couldn't finish it. I had a normal burger with Swiss cheese and home cut fries...just delicious and yes, I finished my burger. With two beers and two Cokes (in real Guinness pint glasses) out total bill was just over$30. There's so much on the menu from wraps to sandwiches to ribs to Friday Fish Frys...there's brisket and steaks for dinner...we just have to go back!

Lots of space, attentive staff, great outdoor area but the food is not worth returning for. 2 out of 4 orders had to be redone, plus the tasty ribs were served lukewarm, and flat bread was soggy. The special Mai Tai's were great and offered 2 extra for the inconvenience of the food issues we had. Dog friendly.

Have visited a couple times a year over the years. Usually good food and service and sometimes good prices. Gotta give points for anyone that serves tots as an alternative to fries.Recent visit was for Friday fish fry, nice outdoor seating. Fish was a bit disappointing - thin, dry, breading not good. OK, not great. I admit it may be partly personal preference on the breading, but I've had much better fish fries in the area. Probably wouldn't have written this somewhat negative review, but service was also disappointed. Dropped off check and didn't pick up for another half hour. They were somewhat busy, but other servers were zipping by and moving fast, ours was mostly talking to friends at the bar. Again, we've enjoyed eating here before, or I would have given a lower rating. Will stop back in again sometime and give them another chance, but not for fish fry.

We stopped at this Squire in Dundee. We prefer it to the one in Crystal Lake. First of all, the menu includes pizza and many more choices that were removed from Crystal Lakeâs menu.. Secondly the food is better tasting. And finally, the location is scenicâ-the Fox River flows by and thereâs plenty of outdoor patio. Thereâs daily specialsâlike todayâs half-price burgersâmy husband is enjoying their Parmesan garlic hamburger right now. My BBQ cheddar bacon chicken sandwich is generous and delicious! Extensive menu and great appetizersâ-wonderful flaming saganaki!!! Great fireplace, free popcorn, bar, and off street parking lot.

Great breakfast menu and friendly service. My daughter wondered if all restaurants in Illinois serve Oreo pancakes. I don't think they all do but you can get them here at Alexanders. We stayed in a nearby hotel that only offered a pricey breakfast buffet. We visited Alexanders down the block and got two fantastic dishes for the same price of one at the hotel. The Oreo pancakes were very tasty!

We stayed on the sandwiches side of the menu, so canât really comment on the entrées here. However, all of our sandwich-type meals were excellent. The âBeyond the Burgerâ veggie burger was enjoyed by the vegetarian in our group. The kids both had grilled cheese sandwiches and fries, and were happy with their food as well (and with the crayons and kids menus for coloring). One of our party had the Southwest Chicken Salad, which was ample and very tasty. I had the Shrimp Poâ Boy with blackened popcorn shrimp and fries. The ban was overstuffed, as Poâ Boys often are, so I ate a few of the popcorn shrimp tp better close the bun. The Creole Sauce made this sandwich very tasty!

Charming old house where friendly wait staff serve breakfast & lunch. Extensive 8-page menu of omelette, crepes, quiche, Benedicts (of course), daily specials, sandwiches, soup& salads. California scramble: scrambled eggs on potato pancakes, topped with chopped bacon, tomatoes, avocado slices, and Hollandaise sauce. Yummy. Wish we had this close to our home!
