Made from scratch comfort food. Tender roast beef, real mashed potatoes, Coconut cream pie and much more! Housed in an old barn like building, we have a gift shop and enjoy your favorite Iowa wine or local beer in our Silo Lounge. Established in 1990. Loc
The barnyard burger was great! The FRIES were our favorite!! The Reuben was delicious with their homemade thousand island dressing! The service wasnât the best, but the food made up for that!

I went by last night for dinner but the town was celebrating July 4 on July 3, so they ere closed. I went by for breakfast and the staff were polite and efficient. The eggs were cooked to order and the meal was more than I could eat. Restrooms are clean. I would go back again.

The Ritz has been a Dyersville favorite starting back in 1948. Dan & Carol Sawyer are the owners. Dan worked in the automotive field for over 25 years. Dan's father, Orval Sawyer, owned and ran a popular little restaurant in a nearby town of Earlville nam
We came to this restaurant after reading the reviews and the menu online. Unfortunately they need to update their online menu. The reason we picked their restaurant was because the online menu prices were very good. My husband and I were thinking of having steak because online the most expensive steak was $15+. In the restaurant there wasn't a steak under $20. That said we ordered the smoked pork chop and it was delicious and it cost $17.99. It came with choice of potato, salad or coleslaw, soup and rolls. The other thing that I didn't like was that the pork chop came with applesauce and it came in a prepackaged cup. The sour cream also came packaged. Here you have a really nice restaurant with mid-high meal cost and you serve these two thing prepackaged. I felt like I was in school getting a meal. The server was great and the owner was very polite and talkative. Thank you for making us aware of our problem with the menu. We are addressing it and making the necessary corrections. We apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We appreciate the chance to serve you.

Following our five star review last month here is the flip side of the coin. Visited yesterday and we were very disappointed. Can it be that this restaurant is starting to nickle and dime ? The coleslaw sidedish comes in a thimble and was frankly tasteless with no mayonnaise content at all. Very watery. The Bacon Cheeseburger at 7.95 is a very inadequate burger. The meat is bland and the cheese lacking but here's the kicker there is nothing on it at all. No onions. Lettuce. Tomatoes. Pickles ..nothing. previously I had the 10.95 burger and that is laden. Any extras on this burger are expensive. A very flimsy bread roll completed the misery. And .... total lack of attention from the waitress. One refill during a 45 minute meal and did not do the courtesy of asking during the meal how things were. I was waiting for her to come over to explain how disappointing the burger was. Hopefully the owner can see from our 5 star review that we loved the place but come on guys don't cut corners on the little things . .. the chicken wings are still extra good and if you get the right waitress and right chef on the right day this place can be heaven.
