I was too lazy to leave the gas station complex and go somewhere else. Bizarre service. My burger was apparently made a while before. They did not even start the french fries for at least 10 minutes after I ordered them. So by the time I got my meal the burger was lukewarm. It was also dripping with mustard. I did not finish the fries. Never again. I was surprised how many people paid the extra money for the cold glass mug. I did not eat in. Are they buying them or paying to use them?

As fast food goes, Arbyâs is among the best. Always-tasty mainstay roast beef comes in many forms and there are many other options to please those with other tastes. This DeForest location is brand new, clean, and convenient.
We attend classes in DeForest 5 times a year and we found this place on our second visit last year. We've been coming back ever since. These folks are so friendly and they remember us every time we walk in the door. Food is really good with a lot of choices. Their Friday night shrimp dinner is really good.

Three of us had lunch at the Norske Nook in De Forest, WI on Sat, 29 June 2019. Even though we had arrived at about 1115 before the big lunch crowd appeared, we had slow service. Perhaps the wait staff was short handed. We enjoyed Pork and Meatloaf sandwiches served with a large scoop of very good mashed potatoes and an omelet with shoe string potatoes. The meatloaf was a bit dense but tasted fine. We finished with Snickers Caramel pie (sweet as expected), Strawberry/Rhubarb pie (truly outstanding crust) and Raspberry/Peach Melba pie (not as tasty as previously experienced). TIP: Be aware that if you purchase a pie for carryout (pricey) that there is a significant deposit for the pie pan.Did this review earn a "Thankful" vote?

Me and my fiance we're traveling to Wisconsin dells and wanted to break up the trip and stop for breakfast mid way. We decided to give this place a shot after reading all the reviews here. We were not disappointed. This a smaller family restaurant. We were seated in a few minutes which was nice since it was a Saturday morning. Immediately we were offered coffee. Menu was large with plenty of options. I ordered the house omelette w/hash browns, toast and pancakes. My fiance ordered a Denver skillet. We both thought our meals were very good and definitely would come back.My bill w/tax was 26.87 which I thought was fair.Oh.....and I was pleasantly surprised that on top of having half n half, they also had flavored creamers on every table

We went to the other Pine Cone by Johnson Creek and thought that was wonderful. This one was meh. I ordered the exact same thing. Eggs Benedict and hash browns. Our food came out within a few minutes which is a bad sign. The ham was extremely overdone, English muffins tough but at least the hash browns were good. Hollandaise sauce had zero flavor. Or waitress very nice and attentive. I just wish they didn't pre make everything and just let it sit there waiting to plate. I won't go back. 2 eggs Benedict, 2 sodas, 2 hash browns & 2 pancakes. $36. I won't go back.

Staff friendly but very busy so interactions are brief and direct. Obviously a popular local watering hole. Bar busy as were the dining tables - many families - several youngsters with some not yet trained on behavior in public.Service was very good considering the crowd, Prices on high side but the food is very good so if peaceful, quiet visit is not a priority, it is a good local option.

We were in town delivering training and chose this place for dinner. The seafood menu looked great but we were in the mood for bbq and this did not disappoint. I had a fantastic and generous portion of beef brisket that was good as Iâve had anywhere. The potato cakes were uniquely delicious and a solid cole slaw is a necessary side for any bbq. My friends had pulled pork, Mac-n-cheese and corn bread, which they raved about as well. If I come back to DeForest, we will be back to North and South. Even if it does look like a strip mall convenience mart on the outside., the atmosphere was busy and friendly inside.

We stopped here for our first visit while in Madison and Wisconsin. We were treated to grand food and great service! Try the Walleye, or rotisserie chicken and definitely the appetizers! The staff was great and attentive while my drink was always topped off.Enjoy, we sure did.
