Every time I bring my Dad to Decatur for a doctor appointment, we try to eat at Cracker Barrell. Whether it's breakfast or lunch or dinner, the food is always fab! My Dad usually gets the pecan pancakes, but this time he got the pinto beans with corn muffins. He LOVED it! I get either breakfast or the grilled catfish. Either way, I always get grilled sour dough bread with apple butter. It's a never fail favorite. The cat fish is always perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The green beans are the same, I could eat those green beans every day! Dad's beans came with onions, sweet relish and corn muffins. Everything is always delicious. The servers are some of the best in the midwest.

Donnieâs Homespun Pizza is decent, but nothing spectacular. The thin crust pizza is thin enough to see through. The sauce is average and lacks zest. Multiple toppings are available and justifiably so, in order to cover up this sub-par pizza. Donnieâs doesnât cut their pizza like a pie, but rather into ridiculous little squares. No one has told the proprietor that itâs called pizza pie, not pizza squares. The highlight for Donnieâs is a nice variety of craft beers, bottled and draught. Prices are average for Decatur, IL and the Oakwood Avenue community. Service is slow and awkward. This is a try it once and be done with it establishment.
Decatur native here. Krekels is a burger joint. This location recently built a new building with a bigger dinning room. I have yet to eat in because with toddlers, we frequent the drive through. My standard order is "cheeseburger with everything including lettuce and tomato (it's extra for those fancy toppings), bag of fries and a vanilla shake". Seriously, this is like a Decatur staple so it's a must have while in town.

iWithout a doubt, Bizou tops my list of Decatur eateries. Absolutely everything is first-class. Drinks are always perfect...Mules and/or Bourbon start us off every visit. Everything on the menu is wonderful. One canât miss with anything. Bizou is a place when one thinks of Decatur...it always comes to mind. If I was a local, it would be a regular spot for me. Then, the desserts are perfect, too. Best service in Decatur.Go here....perfection. Iâm always surprised at these Decatur restaurant ratings ... serious flaws with them. Bizou should lead every category.

I'm a pilot, rely on TA for a lot of places I eat, decided to given Benny's a try and glad I did! It doesn't look like much when you pull in, but the inside is clean and friendly, and bacon cheeseburger was even better! I will be eating here again when I am in town!

Phone number of restaurant is 217-423-5450. Lunch & Dinner Menu. Easy to find doing a Google search. Thanks!
l had a chance to eat here over the weekend. Let me start by saying that without Tripadvisor I would never stop here. It is located behind a gas station and it looks terrible. The food and service however are awesome. I split the Shipwreck with another person and half of this sandwich was more than I could eat. The portions are not only huge but the food is delicious. Another in our party had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was the same way. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a good meal.

I always love a menu that has several appealing options. Not only did I truly enjoy my dinner (vegetable stack), but my friend's dinner looked great too (pear salad). Our waitress was very kind. Overall, I was comfortable and left full! I would definitely return during my next trip to Decatur.

Great location overlooking the lake.reasonable drink prices!had dinner on friday evening, slight wait but not too long.had lobster mac & pretzel chicken.also ordered salad, which was delivered WITH meal, rather than before as is customary.Food was good, nothing special. Generous portions.Service was so-so. Server was friendly, but not very attentive, same held true for bar staff.Came back Saturday for drinks only, and found similar slow in attentive service.Potential to be a super-fantastic place... with only a few caring changes.

We had out-of-town guests who wanted a great Central Illinois breakfast so of course we brought them here. They ordered Flo's Sausage Gravy & Biscuit with smothered home fries, just like me. As usual, these were the best gravy and biscuits I've ever had and our guests agreed.Service was excellent and fun. We love Coney Mckanes!
