What a great addition to Darien! My husband and I watched part of the World Series on the patio tonight. The lights and plants give it a cool vibe. We got the Peli Bites to start with and were not disappointed. Itâs cheese bread but the flavor is different than any Iâve had before and so delicious. The B&B Pie is out of this world! Crab and beef with feta cheese on the perfect thickness of crust. We will most certainly be back and are looking forward to watching Pelican Pizza do well here! Also all the plates, cups, and straws are made fromBiodegradable paper. Save them turtles

I used to eat here quite often but will no longer frequent any Waffle House after they fired their employee who was protecting patrons. Other than that, this Waffle House has some very good cooks and friendly waitresses. The food and prices are standard Waffle House. It is hard to get to due to the reconstruction of the I-95 interchange that it is located on but that will be finished with a new bridge soon. Parking is adequate and the building was re-done a few years ago so the roof no longer pours water on various tables. It is one of the better Waffle Houses in my opinion just leave your self defense hopes at home.

Sometimes it seems to be more greasy than others but all in all the food is usually great! The service is always great!

This is a very popular local spot in Darien next to a "Friendly Express" Minute Market, not far from the bridge over the Darien River. Nautica Joe's let other local places specialize in the fresh shrimp that abounds here. Instead, they specialize in great burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and salads. The menu features several large burgers. I had a cheddar burger with fries. The burger was large, moist, and well cooked. The crinkle cut fries were good as well. The restaurant was crowded and folks kept coming in. I can see why this remains a popular spot.

Chef Jerome Brown, has 20 years in the seafood business. Our customers are our family members, we have over 10,000 photos on the walls of our restaurant! The Old School Diner, famous for the "Wheel Chair Platter!" - Come see why Ben Affleck says " Why ask
We loved loved loved the Old School Diner!!! From the warm greeting when we arrived (and we were wondering if we were in the right place!) to the friendly engaging servers to the incredible bounty of delicious food, we were totally knocked out. This restaurant is one in a million. If there is any way you can get there- get there! You will be as happy as we are.

Loved the fried shrimp... best Iâve had! So sweet !! Ordered side of okra... not over fried, really good. Hubby found the Brunswick Stew a bit too vinegary. His alligator tail was too chewy for me. Crabcake has barely any crab. But Iâd come back for the shrimp anytime!! Great waitstaff. Even gave us sweet tea in travel cups before we left...because they knew we were on the road. Itâs those little things you remember.

Only in town for a few nights, our family stopped in late Sat eve after a short wait (We're the only larger group at the time). Friendly server took our drink and meal order. Within 15 minutes twin toddlers and Grandma devoured their pizzas with gusto. Pizza was full of soft melted cheese and Marina on a crisp crusted pizza. Hubby and I delighted our taste buds with their Seafood Buffet (only on Fri & Sat nights) and couldn't find anything that wasn't fresh, delicious and prepared well. We had the freshest crab legs and shrimp. One of our kids wanted crab legs over her pizza! Hubby said his fried shrimp were some of the best he's ever had. Side dishes were cooked to perfection, especially green beans. Salad bar is what you'd expect with lots of variety and options. The only downside is the variety of food on the buffet. Many fried options. Desserts were delightful! Light and fluffy red velvet cake and Banana pudding made for a perfect ending to a Fantastic meal! There's a reason this place is a local favorite.
