We went in thinking we would be able to get a quick meal with our children. Boy were we wrong. There were 4-5 people ahead of us in line. When we got to the front of the line the young man at the register was stapling receipts together and seemed busy so I was waiting for him to finish up and maybe say something like, "can I help you?" Instead he finished and then stared at me. So I just placed my order then filled our drinks and went to wait for our food. We finally got a booth in the room where they cook and watched as they called numbers to realize were were about 20 numbers away from getting our food. The young man had not mentioned that there would be a long wait. There was a festival that weekend and many other places had an hour wait to be seated or said they were just full. We figured it was going to be a while but thought it would have been nice to have been told there would be a long wait before we had ordered our food as then maybe we would have gone somewhere else. We continued to wait and then watched as numbers after ours were called. After several had been called I asked why our number had not been called and was informed that it was because we had 2 cheeseburgers. I then watched the gentleman who was behind me who had ordered 2 cheeseburgers get his order. I then asked for a manager. I was routed through 3 managers from the top, down. The top 2 were appalled and apologetic and the direct supervisor seemed to want to just give us free food and send us away because she had better things to do with her time. By the time I spoke with her our food had finally arrived (1 hr and 1 min for 2 cheeseburgers, 1 grilled cheese and an order of nachos) and she gave us free dessert. My entire point, though, for talking to a manager was so that she could get things straightened out in the kitchen so they would fill orders in order of when they were placed so that people weren't waiting extra long for their orders unnecessarily. She never even went into the kitchen while I was there. Hopefully she talked to them that night or before they opened the next day. We will definitely not go back. The food was definitely NOT worth the wait. The burgers, grilled cheese and nachos were ok and the fries were terrible (none of my family would eat them...not even the three year old). My kids pretty much filled up on the free crackers and water before the meal even arrived.

Midnight rose is one of the larger casino's in town. The owner bought up about 4 other buildings and expanded to include lots of slots, plus blackjack and a liveTexas Hold-em poker room.Everyong was very friendly and wanted to be sure we had a good time. I recommend the upstairs restaurant for a good, low cost meal.

Dynamite Dick's Dining Emporium

Reviewed By Andi5748

Today is my mom's birthday and we decided to celebrate in Cripple Creek last night. This morning we went to Dynamite Dick's for breakfast and left pretty annoyed. When we first got there, 2 people in our group of 6 were still loading the car so they joined us right as we were ordering food. The server didn't ask if they wanted anything to drink so those of us with 2 drinks (water & coffee) shared. We sat there for 20 minutes waiting for our food while the server was preoccupied with another table & toting their baby all around the restaurant. She finally comes by and informs us that they're out of biscuits and gravy (what my mom ordered). I offered to share my breakfast burrito and mom accepted. We got our food shortly after and I had to ask for a plate (to put mom's half on) and for the sour cream I requested when I ordered. After dropping those off, the server went back to playing with the baby & carrying her around the restaurant so I didn't have a chance to tell her my/our burrito didn't have any bacon in it (the green chili was really good though). She came back when we were just about done eating to ask how everything was. When she brought the check over she threw it on the table, said, "here", and disappeared into the server station. When we looked at it we had been charged for the biscuits and gravy! We sat there for 10 minutes waiting for her to come back before I got up and asked the manager for a box and told her we were charged for an item we didn't receive. I'm honestly surprised that my parents left any sort of tip because nobody else at the table felt it was deserved. I can't say anything about the other employees but the two we dealt with have terrible customer service skills. We'll never eat there again because of them. Hi Andi, thanks for the feedback. We apologize that this was your experience. Would you be able to provide us with the name of your server? This feedback will help us ensure all of our staff are properly trained in providing excellent service to each of our customers. We invite you back and look forward to the opportunity to serve you delicious food with great service!

We have been to the Steakhouse at Bronco Bill's several times through the years. A reservation is ALWAYS necessary. Although, you can get the food on the menu without being in the dinning room (sit near the bar instead, they will squeeze you in without a reservation). We preferred the our reservation in the dinning room. Your first drink at the bar while you wait is "on the house". If you so choose (and I did) not to have another, it is not necessary to buy an expensive drink for dinner. Besides, if you play any of the games the drinks are all free (a tip is appropriate for the server). We had (they will split it for you) "fall-off-the-bone" ribs. You did not need a knife. Great meal, free birthday cake for our celebration and kind service. $44 plus tip total. Not bad for 2 people and we could not eat it all. Remember, this place is in high demand. It is not a drive thru, so take you time and enjoy!

Mid City Grill at Century Casino Cripple Creek

This is a small restaurant within the Century Casino. If you drive to the back of the Casino, there is plenty of parking. Short walk from parking to the building. There are steps to climb if you use this entrance, which is labeled Mid City Grill. This was a random stop from a scenic tour of fall colors on Independence Pass. Our waiter was pleasant & tried his best to make sure our choices were hot & fresh. He even went back in the kitchen to check the fry vats, to satisfy my questions about how they handle the fry equipment. The french fries arrived hot & crispy with no after taste. The Monte Cristo was tasty & filling. May want to consider ordering this sandwich & splitting it for 2 people. We visited with another customer & they were happy with their choices. Portions are large & we saw many folks taking food back to the car. It appears they have week day, daily special sandwiches that cater to the bargain hunter.Thank you for review. We are so happy you got to experience our friendly staff and great food. We do have daily specials in the Mid City Grill and a variety of food to from salads to sandwiches to steaks. We hope you will visit on the next time your are in Cripple Creek.

Oh my heavens! Nearly 50 minutes to get our food. Server said it might be 20 mins or so, but the kitchen appeared to work one ticket at a time. Despite the slow kitchen, the food was pretty good. Wings were good, but not fantastic. The pizza was good with plenty of toppings, but not great. The dinner salad was very fresh and cold. The server gave us a discount for the slow kitchen, which helped raise the rating to a 3.

We toured Cripple Creek on foot after camping in Pike National Forest and we were super hungry. We stopped in Maggie’s on a whim and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They didn’t have any tables left in the restaurant so they offered to let us eat at the bar so we wouldn’t have to wait. It would’ve been worth it if we had to wait! I had the southwest chicken sandwich and my husband had a burger. The sandwiches were very large, gourmet and tasted amazing. The french fries were hit, crispy and fresh. We ate every bite and left full and ready to hit the nearby hiking gold mine hiking trails.

After an extremely long wait for a table in an uncrowded restaurant, we waited an additional 30 minutes before a waitress came to our table for a drink order. We attempted to speak to her several times, and she just ignored us! When she finally did come, we asked to order everything at that time, fearing we would never see her again. It was another 20 minutes before drinks arrived...nothing fancy, just coffee and sodas for 3 people. The wait to get our food was another 30 minutes...how long does it take to make an omelette and biscuits and gravy? Never was offered drink refills and had to give up on getting a bill. We finally went straight to the cashier and told her we never received a bill and she accommodated our request. Needless to say, we didn't go back.
