The warmth of the food and the community inside this rather nondescript food hall were just what we needed on a cold rainy night in Northern CO. The brisket chili with cheese was yummy, and the waffle fries were fabulous. Also great: ice cold beers in frosty classes to off set the spicy food. Also enjoyed a plentiful house salad at a really reasonable price. Got to have your veggies. The staff were very friendly and the whole insides of the place - the conversation, the general hub-but, made us feel welcome.

This was our first visit to this Village Inn location. We were excited about having our meal because it had been years since we visited another location in Flagstaff, AZ. We just ordered water because we had had too much already that morning. Server took our breakfast order right away and then we waited, waited and waited. If the server put our ticket in right away (10:10 a.m.), which we aren't quite sure when we arrived, it took over 30 minutes to receive our food because we DID look at our watches. The server made no apologies, so we weren't sure if this was the norm for this location. We did express our disappointed with the cashier (Manager) who then called the General Manager over to discuss with us. Seems there are changes going on and both apologized; reduced our bill by 10% and offered a piece of pie. We most likely will not return but management did try to make us feel better.

My husband asked some of the hotel staff where to find a good burger, and the OP was suggested. They do offer a good variety of toppings and my green chile burger was good, cooked as ordered, topped with a real grilled chile instead of a watery scoop of diced chiles from a can. DH opted for a Tbone steak, and he said it was good. (I was surprised he didn't try the smoked prime rib.) Our side salads were average, mostly iceberg lettuce, but crispy and fresh. My mashed potatoes were really soft and smooth...I suspected they might have been from dehydrated rather than cooked fresh and mashed so I'd get something else next time. DH's baked potato was good. Service was good. There were several large screen tvs showing sports, and the decor is an appropriately grubby combo of biker/cowboy/sports.
See what the Colonel's cooking at your local KFC. Stop in today and enjoy our world famous chicken - it's Finger Lickin' Good!
Closed dining room during hunting season. WOW! What a disappointment. Loved their chicken wraps before.
