We have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. Finally we were able to get a table with only a 15 minute wait. The service was great. We were checked on frequently and the coffee and beverages were constantly filled. The food tasted like everything was made from scratch and tasted really good. The biscuits and gravy were close to like Grandma used to make.My wife enjoyed her Chili verde omelette and the way it was prepared. It was the best sheâs ever had.We will be back and probably wonât mind waiting.Bring cash. They donât accept any other form of payment.

We stopped in for a late lunch on a recent late Spring afternoon. We had been hours strolling the surprisingly interesting Main Street of Sonora and selected Emberz based on a recommendation from a local shop keeper. The lunch crowds had left already and we were seated in a great spot at the large window which overlooks the side walk and Main Street traffic. We had pleasant people watching the entire time we were there. The interior of Emberz is large and inviting with sort of a modern vibe. The menu was long and excellent. Many good options. I settled on a blue burger plus a side salad. Everything was very tasty. Service was good.I would return.

After driving all day and finally getting checked into our hotel across the street we were famished. Sadly, in these small towns restaurants either close early or aren't open every day so your choices are limited. We found this restaurant open so we choose it. I ordered a burger and fries and my better half Cookielee order a sandwich and potato salad. The burger came dry, without any type of sauce and the bun was as cold as if it had just come out of the fridge. The onions appeared to have just been defrosted as well. My order of fries were loaded with all the fryer "debris", crumbs, oil, etc. Cookielees potato salad was also not well received. The waitress was nice, that was the only positive comment I can make.

Somewhat limited menu. They were out of ribs on Sun. night which is my favorite. Large selection of bottled beer but no draft beer. Seating can be cramped. Very lively and casual.

Given it is a "saloon" we were expecting saloon-type food and while there were indeed hamburgers on the menu, the rest of the menu was full of surprises from Cajun Chicken to Sesame Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Everything was delicious and plentiful and the presentation was outstanding. Our waitress was very sweet and managing to smile even facing a large than expected crowd.

A very friendly place and aims to please. A group of twenty three had lunch and everything went very well. We had a reservation so tables were set up and our group was seated together. Drink and sandwiches were taken and servered very quickly, no mix up's. We were able to get separate checks and the staff did a great job in making us feel welcome and made sure everything was perfect. Looking forward to going back. When I called to make the reservation they were going to be closed but when heard a group was coming, she stayed open another week.

Fine dining in an historic gold rush setting. New owners as of June 2015.
We recently hosted a late afternoon family gathering here. The banquet room is small and dark, but as evening fell, it seemed light enough inside to be cheery. We ordered a variety of appetizers for our group. All were tasty, and the servers who brought them were friendly and attentive. After our group adjourned, a few of us went in to the dining room for dinner. We were pretty full from the appetizers. My husband thought he'd just order the steamed shellfish and some garlic fries as a light meal. It was a tremendous amount of food, all expertly prepared and delicious. I ordered the ravioli in cream sauce. It was light and yummy. Just the right amount of food. The chef-owner and his wife were extremely helpful during the planning process for our family get-together, which contributed to the event's success. We also spent some time with family members in the What Cheer Bar, adjacent to the restaurant. A wild-west atmosphere with a good wine list.

It was a cold Sunday morning in February. With unexpected Snow flakes showering on that day, we just finished the Sunday service at St. Patricks around 8:30am and decided to give the Mandy's breakfast a try. Reached the place in 10 minutes and the restaurant was already busy with only 3 tables available. They immediately served hot coffee & hot chocolate and got us warmed up. Coffee Refills kept coming again and again and compensated for the rough weather outside. We tried different omelettes and the quantity was good too. And the hotel staff were friendly and passionate of what they are doing. Around 9:30, there's a huge rush and folks are waiting to be seated .Seems to be a very popular place for the locals. Glad that we tried it. Will definitely stop by when we cross Columbia next time.

Set in an 1880's period barn in historic Columbia, CA, our focus is in providing both an education in the Art of Afternoon Tea and enhancing a visitor's experience of Columbia while offering a pleasant atmosphere and a modicum of culture to a gold mining
My (old) high school friend and I had a wonderful lunch at Kate's just before the play Ripcord, being performed at the Fallon Theater. As noted in the other reviews, always make a reservation! It takes about 1.5 hours to get there from Turlock. Our wonderful waitress was Michelle, with 2 'Ls', and she took great care of us. I had the trio sandwich, which I usually do, and their wonderful navy bean soup. My friend chose the turkey sandwich and managed to eat most of it! She loved the lavender iced tea.Kate's has never failed to please.....from their fantastic scones and bread pudding to their soups and homemade bread! The chicken pot pie really is one of the best around.Although my favorite window table had already been booked, our table was fine. It is 'tight' in there but all was good. Plus there is a back room dining area and outside patio which is nice when it is on the cooler side and not 100'!!!Enjoy your lunch! Be nice to Michelle, ha.
