It's what you would expect from a Subway. It's centrally located in a small town. The food is good and the staff is friendly. For a Subway, it's very good.
We were in Coloma and found this restaurant by chance. Were we happy that we did. They are open from 6am to 2pm and serve a great breakfast. The skillet breakfast with potatoes, cheese, sausage, eggs, gravy and more is outstanding. The blueberry pancakes are like dessert for breakfast. The service is top notch and very friendly. This is a local breakfast and lunch restaurant with great food and great service. It is worth the trip!

Arriving late we were looking for some great seafood and waterfront views. In spite of some negative reviews this cozy restaurant did not disappoint. Service was great and food excellent. We would definitely return.

Good enough to eat there two days in a row. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. I thought lunch was much better than breakfast but my friends were very happy with their veggie omelettes. I had scrambled eggs but they really were not scrambled. They were poured out onto a big griddle and then folded, so they were very thin. Raisin toast was a little over cooked. I had an excellent chicken breast sandwich with ham and cheese on it. Very good bun. Crinkle cut fries. Good plain iced tea.

We stopped here for lunch on our way from Chicago to Royal Oak - we were pleasantly surprised by the tasty food. I had the Caesar salad which was average. My husband and son had the Greek scrambler for lunch - they both really enjoyed it. The portion was large. The waitress was super friendly. The ambiance leaves much to be desired.

Kind of a bar atmosphere, which is fine - booths and tables. Service was good, not overly friendly or chatty. Pizza was very good - good tasting crust, perfect amount of sauce, not too sweet not too bland - sausage was good. Only complaints were fresh and not canned mushrooms would be nice and wish they would lose the paper plates. Had to eat pizza and sauce off of paper plates. Will return when we are in the area.

The Friendly Tavern is one of Michigan's oldest existing bars with great tasting daily specials and a warm atmosphere. And while we don't allow our guests to ride their horses through the bar or shoot their guns off inside anymore, The Friendly still serv
Wow - the Monday night rib special was spectacular! Having grown up in north central Wisconsin, Friendly Tavern reminded me of home - a place where some of the best food can be found in local taverns. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the food here - I presume the ribs are not the only great item on the menu!

I almost hate to write this review since it will only assist to increase attendance at a local place with great specialty foods. Donât get me wrong, not every thing on the menu is outstanding, but they do many things that are terrific and the perch is one of them. The perch was light and flakey and just melted in your mouth. It was truly delicious. I also want to shout out about the service. We have visited many times and have always had friendly professional and attentive wait staff. They really do a great job making you feel welcome when you come in. This is just a great local place.

Local craft beers, locally sourced food
Huge list of beers, but were out of 5 when we visited. Management needs to be on top of replacing beers with similar styles, out of 4 Hefeweizen styles on the menu, they were all tapped out. Food was good. Service was good except the waitress had no idea about beer.
