It may not seem like much from the outside. And once you step in, it's like going back in time. But the service is great. The food is really good, lots of options to choose from. And the prices are nice and low. This was a great find.

Hemenway's, an icon in the Rhode Island food scene and the go-to destination for fresh, top-of-catch seafood has been serving both locals and visitors to the capital city for decades. Constantly innovating, Chef Max Peterson delights in creating dishes th
A highlight of coming to Providence is enjoying fine dining. Hemenwayâs fresh seafood entrees are second to none. We enjoyed swordfish, king crab legs, salmon and a NY strip. Our server was delightful too. Thank you blueheaven1989. We are very happy you enjoyed and it is always a thrill to hear we were a highlight on a trip to Providence. We appreciate you joining us and hope we see you again soon. Gratefully,Nicole ChristieAssistant General Manager

Place is truly a hidden gem, phenomenal food of high-quality, huge portions, salad sandwiches, you name it itâs amazing. Salmon salad was a generous portion of salmon, over a multitude of greens and vegetables. I opted for the Orland vinegar versus the regular dressing, so canât compare that, but it really was phenomenal. Parking is on the road, and seating is for maybe 35.

This place does not wow you from the outside. Or really from the inside either. But the food is excellent. There is a huge menu on the wall right when you walk in. Lots to choose from, mostly sandwiches, pizza. Big portions, cheap prices. Good amount of tables on the inside. You can either stay and eat or take it to go. You can call an order in too, nice and convenient. I work in the area, it's a great lunch spot for me.

Murphy's is a typical Irish Pub Sports Bar. Lots of drafts, lots of tvs, lot of finger foods and a smattering of entrees. Not as loud as I expected with a full house. Food was generally good with reasonable portions for the prices.Worth another trip for me.

Offering a setting that is unlike any other in Providence, Waterman Grille is situated along the Seekonk River in a former bridge gatehouse that dates back to 1871. With its ageless brick, restored wood patinas and open kitchen, Waterman has become a neig
Reservations: Made online; they were needed (and are highly recommended), and, most important, honored.View/Ambiance: We enjoyed the wood/brick décor and the view of the river.Service: Daniel was our waiter and he was great! He was friendly, prompt, hard-working. Great job, Daniel, (from the couple from Chicago).Food: Amazing. Every dish was mouth-watering. Value: More than reasonable for such a find.If we lived in the Providence area, this would be our go-to restaurant. Keep up the good work, Waterman. We look forward to visiting again. Thanks fourfamilytravels! So happy to hear you enjoyed everything and that Daniel made your experience even better (I'll be sure to pass along your compliments). We wish you lived in Providence too so we could be your regular spot. Until then, we thank you and hope our paths will cross again. Gratefully,Michael AccettaGeneral Manager

We had a great dinner here.Super friendly staff. We made reservations for a Saturday night and only had a short wait. Food came out super fast.Lots of menu options. We had pasta and pizza and it was all great. One item was ordered to share and they happily split it for us in the kitchen. Rolls were amazing! Chicken parm was our least favorite and Penne Ala Angelo was the best. Menu online differed from what was offered on site.Reasonable prices.Happy to return.

Stanley's has been selling hamburgers sine 1932. i doubt the menu has changed much since then, restaurant, too.The one large room ha a long counter with stools and about 12 booths for eating. It looks like a depression-era place. But it works. The menu is mostly burger, shakes and fries. A few entries like fish and chips, but you come here for the burger. I had a cheese burger. it is not as good as one for bar Louie, but at $2.50 vs. $12.00 and Stanley's is a winner. Hamburger comes with smothered onions on the grill, so it is really topped off. Burger was delicious. You gotta try one!!Street parking, but it was easy to park.

I am a meat eater first class, however my daughter and her friend are vegitarian. Where to take them out to eat? They were told of the Garden Grille all the way up in Maine. I told them we can try it and see if you like it. They loved it and I must say the veggie burger was not at all bad,it was a very tasty burger. They tried the gluten free mac and cheese and the veggie burgers. I did taste it and again must say it was really good. They started with something with tofu which they could not get me to try. I do not do it even with chinese food.maybe it is the name tofu. However it is a very nice, small place, cute, and they do wine and beer of which we did have.Service was very good and made for a great experience for a first timer like me. what can be bad? it is all very healthy and does taste very good. I may serve vegi burgers at my BBQ at home for those who would like them. A good choice for those who are Veggi people.

This visit, my husband and I enjoyed Lobster Benedict (chock-full of lobster), Portuguese Blade Meat Omelet (awesome), a half-order of their famous Custard-Stuffed French Toast (LOADED with pecans and fresh fruits), and a side order of homemade Hash. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT. Our waitress was superb. You will never be disappointed at this historical diner!!!!
