Friendly service without going in Wal-Mart
We had a very late lunch here, and I would love to have tried many things, but I ended up just ordering the Norman Bates sandwich and a freshly squeezed lemonade. The bread was off the charts good, and it made the sandwich even better. The lemonade was not too sweet. Loved it. My husband was trying not to eat too much, and he is not a healthy or an adventurous eater, so he opted for the cheese plate. It was fair, but the sides were too funky for him, pickled mango with curry, pickled radish and the Indian paste I had on my sandwich. They have lots of interesting drinks, alcoholic and non, as well as sweets, healthy options and coffees. Nice women running the place.
It is true this place is clean, and loaded with friendliness, but its not texas hots as I think of, they just miss by a bit, and there is no other place for dogs close to home. So if you need a dawg fix then go but don't expect to be wowed, oh they don't poach eggs either, the only way I like them.

This is bar food. Frozen stuff tossed in the fryer. The wings are a very good, safe bet. Avoid the salad! The atmosphere is pool bar, stripper pole chic. Drinks are cheap, staff warm and friendlyWe are well known for Best Wings in Town ! :) Sorry that you didn't like the salad. Have you explained to barmaid what exactly you didn't like? We are always appreciate any feedback and need to know on how to improve our services.

Whether you are looking for a full service dine-in experience or just a drink during happy hour, we've got you covered!! We are open 7 days a week from 11 am -10 pm for dine-in, take-out and delivery.
A party of three ordered lasagna, regular and stuffed pizza slices, soup and buffalo chicken wings.Lasagna portion was huge - ample for two and very goo. Pizza was very good and served hot but sauce (on the side) for the stuffed pizza was a dollar more. Really???Chicken wings were properly fried, crunchy with a nicely seasoned sauce.Waitress refilled drinks without prompting, but the food cane out of the kitchen in dribs and drabs and made for an awkward dining experience.

Came for a late lunch with friends. This is a seasonal restaurant closing in Late October u til next Spring. The restaurant specializes in seafood. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting, right on the water. There is both outside and inside seating. We first tried to sit outside but there were too many aggressive bees. We moved inside. We shared small plates of appetizers, fried calamari, cooked perfectly; baked clams; and crab cakes. All were delicious! The service was fair as only one waitress, who was very nice, was taking care of both inside and outside. It was a lovely experience. Try it.

Opening earlier in the year (and I believe staying open later in the year) than the competing local seafood restaurant, this would be a good time to try out this casual-dress-but-fancy-food restaurant and bar.My husband and I don't come often - perhaps a twice a year - and have rarely been disappointed. We were, slightly, this past weekend, as we were both in the mood for New England Clam Chowder and both agreed the broth in theirs was thin, a bit stale, and lacking in taste - although the clams and potatoes it contained tasted perfect. It was also slightly disappointing that there were no rolls and butter to be had and that, though we had ordered soup AND an appetizer and one or both were likely already made, it took 10 or 15 minutes and a reminder from us for the soup to be served. The shrimp cocktail, which came after, contained 5 huge, fresh-tasting, flavorful shrimp, along with a cocktail sauce that was extremely tasty without being spicy - perfect for those who like to use a lot of sauce. I would have appreciated a piece of lettuce or celery with it, but we got what we asked for, and were quite happy.Celery and carrots (and blue cheese dressing) did come with the appetizer containing twelve chicken wings. (It was not possible to order less.) There was a choice of sauces and I had requested honey barbecue. This sauce was apparently spooned on later and not cooked with the chicken - and I believe that cooking chicken WITH the sauce gives it an extra kick - however, although it was messier this way it also resulted in more sauce than a person usually gets, and the sauce tasted great. The other bonus - which I felt was well worth it, after tasting the chicken - was that, by cooking the chicken with no saucy coating, the skin ended up crispy and delicious. I'm not usually an appreciator of chicken skin, but the crunchiness and taste of the perfectly crisped chicken was amazing. The chicken inside the skin was NOT crispy or dry but perfectly moist. Some of the best wings I've ever had.My husband ordered a full rack of baby back ribs, which came similarly tender and moist with lots of barbecue sauce, and he liked it a lot. He also really liked the accompanying flavored mashed potatoes and fresh, cooked asparagus (which I believe do not come with the half rack). For a slight upcharge, he had gotten a bowl (not cup) of clam chowder instead of a salad. He also appreciated the unique choice and taste of the draft beer. The restaurant was also flexible about other things: Originally shown to a table near the wall (which still has a view of the Catskill Creek [which feeds into the Hudson River], as does all seating there) we asked to be transferred to a table right near the window, which they cheerfully did after clearing one that had just been vacated. Also, when asked, they agreed to open the window, since it was one of the first beautiful spring days of the season, and a fresh breeze came in. (People a couple of tables over then opened their window.) This is not something usually available to people at any restaurant. Staff was considerate in another way as well: A heavy glass door separates the bar area from the restaurant area, and, without being asked, as soon as the bar area started getting crowded and noisy (not obnoxious - with a good class of people - just noisy from the sheer amount of friends chatting) they closed the door which rendered the bar noise unnoticeable.(A third, large seating area outside was not yet open for the season. When it is, it's extremely popular, lit up decoratively at night, right on the edge of the Catskill Creek. There were plenty of leftovers to help offset the cost of the meal (average cost for what we got), and after packing this in the car we took a walk along the docks. I don't think you're supposed to, but we weren't going to hurt anything, and no one was there to stop us. We wanted not only to stretch our legs but prolong the beauty of the atmosphere. I'm guessing that, in addition to the rented spots at the docks, the restaurant has a dock where visiting boats can temporarily park while its passengers eat, but I don't know, so anyone intending to do that should phone the place first to find out.The Creekside Restaurant is not noticeable from most places a person would normally go in Catskill, so you have to know it's there to take advantage of it - but it's only a half-minute from Bridge Street, and three or four minutes from either the parks at Dutchman's Landing and Catskill Point or the stores at the Walmart and Price Chopper plazas.I'm guessing that the less-than-stellar quality of the soup that day was a fluke, and would strongly recommend the Creekside for a sweet way to end the day in the area, to celebrate an occasion, or meet up with friends.

First time here, Took Dad to this diner for Fatherâs Day breakfast because our usual spot closed early unfortunately. We waited ten minutes for the waitress to come over and take our drink order When she arrived at our table we told her we were also ready to order. She said sheâll just take the drink order right now. She brought the wrong drinks and then it took 15 minutes and she never came back to take our order. We got the manager who then came over to take our order. She was clearly put off that she had to help and she was short with my elderly father when he was placing his order. Very disappointed with this experience. Wonât return.

Stopped by for lunch. Appealing, reasonably priced menu with some polish specialities. Food was excellent. Flatbread came with so much topping. Some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten. Reuben sandwich also very tasty. Service, however, wasn't great and there was quite a long wait both before our order was taken and the food was served, otherwise would have given 5 star rating.
