Called ahead and told 10 minute wait for our group, left name and phone number. Arrived and found out the girl remembered the call but couldn't find where she wrote it down. Said it would be 10 minutes, it was 30, seems she tells everybody 10 minutes. Claimed lack of servers when people complained, several groups left!Food and service were very good, but the front desk needs training desperately.

I just ordered delivery from the Crystal Lake location. When I called, the young woman who answered the phone was pleasant and answered every question I had about their menu. I ordered the Burger, Curly Fries, Mac and cheese, and the Pretzel Curds. The Burger was ala carte, but I didn't mind because the prices on their menu is very reasonable. We ate everything that we ordered. The Burger was delicious! The mac and cheese was awesome, and the pretzel curds was outstanding. All were very delicious. I had to call them and tell them about the food. The Manager I spoke to (his name is George) was so friendly and very polite. I am definitely hooked! As a person who works in the industry, we are pretty critical about food in general. I never like to write a revue about restaurants, but I had to with this place. If you haven't been to this location, you have to go. Props to you guys at Breaking Bread!

Local diner serving breakfast & classic American eats in retro surroundings with an in-house bakery that specializes in pies and cookies.
Good family restaurant. Menu with plenty of variety. The food is well-prepared. Service is excellent. My sister and I went twice while I was visiting--both times for lunch. We had omelettes, and they were great. Prices were very reasonable. Plenty of parking. Strongly recommend.

This is the best breakfast place in Crystal Lake. The menu is great, the food is great, the atmosphere is great, the prices are great.
This place was in a cute downtown area with inside and outside seating. They had a huge menu and coffee selection. The service was fast and friendly. The food was exceptional. French toast was right on! No wait times at 9:00 a.m. Great place for breakfast.

We drive by the place every once in a while. Always see the specials on their sign so we decided to try on half price burger night! Yum! Big burger with fries. Will try another night for another special!

Located at the Northeast corner of Route 14 and Pingree Road, Jameson's Charhouse in Crystal Lake has been serving steaks, chops, and fresh fish since 2009. Open for lunch, dinner, and all holidays. Call to make reservations today!
We went for the first time. We had the Chipotle shrimp for an appetizer, it was really good. We also had an entrée each--NY Strip and Sirloin/grilled shrimp. Both steaks were done as ordered--very good. However our baked potatoes had 'rot spots' (I am quite picky about my food) which we did not discover til we had eaten most of it--also, they were dry. We were there early so might have been from day before and recooked?? The asparagus was superb. We had soup and salad and the bread. That was filling in itself. Our service was excellent, I believe her name was Abby. She was always on the ball--as soon as we were done with soup she brought our salad and also brought the meal at the perfect time also. So many places bring everything as soon as it comes up--so one is rushed. She always kept our tea filled and allowed us to enjoy our meal, instead of constant interruptions. Mgmt seemed nice, and visited some of the tables to see how people were doing. Table behind us seemed a bit difficult, but staff handled it professionally. I would definitely recommend this place. A bit high riced, but you get what you pay for

We were looking for something new and different and we definitely found it here! We were tired of the "same ol' same ol'" and this restaurant popped up on facebook. We tried it and we were so pleasantly surprised! Great food! My husband and son each got the slider sampler and I got the Pep and Age flatbread. They both thought most of the sliders were great. One was a little too hot (spicy). My husband wasn't crazy about the buns they used which I guess were toasted, but he said they were too hard. It made them a little difficult to eat. My flat bread was wonderful. It had pepperoni, sausage and olives. The sauce was slightly sweet and delicious. We also ordered an order of cheese curds. They just melt in your mouth! They were great! We'll definitely be back to try more wonderful dishes!

Go here once a year following a running race in Cary. It is always crowded this day but they never disappoint. Food is good and servers attentive. Nice that they know this day is busy and are prepared. Decent beer selection.

We are a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Crystal Lake, Illinois. We believe fine dining is more than the very best in food, service and atmosphere. It is creating a space where you feel at home, in a way, but are still surprised. Itâs a conversati
noisy. The new owner spent some time and money remodeling this establishment and it shows. However, the downside is a very noisy venue despite their attempts at sound deadening panels in the ceiling. Perhaps some soft materials on the walls and carpeting would help. The level is such that some patrons, it seems, talk louder so their companions can hear them and the level spins out of control. Our server was attentive although the place was busy.Foodwise, the fare is varied, well-prepared and not your everyday menu.I thoroughly enjoyed my butt steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My wife's pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes and vegetables was also very good. The salad served with our meal was good sized, fresh and we especially liked the fact that they toss each salad with the chosen dressing rather than just ladling on a portion of dressing. Nice even coverage of dressing (which were delicious).Only the noise level kept us from giving this restaurant a "5".Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. Noise can be a challenge when you have a full dining room, but certainly a problem we feel fortunate to have! We will definitely take your feedback into consideration and look forward to having you again soon!
