Find out what American restaurants to try in Caro. Caro is a city in and the county seat of Tuscola County, Michigan, United States. The population was 4,229 at the 2010 census and 4,145 at the 2000 census (an increase of about 2%).
This Subway is clean and fast and the staff is always friendly. We have been here several times, and I can't think of one thing I could complain about.
Love this local resturant. Has a community feel. The breakfast was huge and the right place. I had the southern omlt. It was enough for myself and my 10yr old. Service is cozy and always on top of our coffee. This is my Sunday Breakfast location.

We went here for dinner recently to celebrate a milestone birthday for a relative. My husband had the burrito, which tasted good and I had the grilled chicken, which was also good. Service was good too. I'm giving it Average because I don't think it rates as Very Good but I'd put it somewhere in between. Would go here again.

Stopped in to this location in the evening. We got the the restaurant at approximately 8:45pm. There was 1 other couple in the restaurant when we walked in. We placed our drink order, took about 10 minutes to get water and then we placed our order. I ordered a chicken sandwich & ended up with a beef burger. It was too late to send it back, so I ended up eating it. It was OK, nothing special. Our bill was $20 without the tip, bit much for 2 burgers. The service was slow, may have had to do with the fact it was so late.

We went here for a quick stop while in the area. I ordered one of the breakfast specials, others ordered lunch. My breakfast was cooked perfectly, and I am very picky with other's services.(hotels, stores, restaurants). I got the breakfast with hash browns, eggs, ham, toast. Very fast service, clean building and bathrooms, food was delicious. I have been known to return food if not cooked as specified, but this little place was great enough to return anytime! Other family member's burger was big, done perfectly, condiments fresh, french fries, hot and crispy. We also ordered sandwiches and fries to go with us for the road. Even heated up later, they were very good. This is a very hot spot on Fridays for their fish fry, as I am told by many locals.

We were going to another restaurant but it was closed so we found this little diner. Good find. Good service and homemade food. Homemade fries, still have a milkshake machine. If you are looking for good atmosphere, food and service give this place a try!

The positive: We were seated immediately, and our waitress was very pleasant and positive. She refilled our drinks, and she came back frequently to check on us. TAverage: Steak Sanndwich and homemade chips. The sandwich advertises smothered in onions and mushrooms. There were very few of either on the sandwich. The sandwich was supposed to be hot, but came out barely warm. We expected the homemade chips to be freshly made and hot, but they were nothing special, and tasted like store bought kettle potato chips. The Cobb Salad was good, and was more food than I could eat.Negative: It took a 45 minutes to get our food. As we were waiting we saw another table asking for the food to go because their hour lunch break was over, and they did not receive their food in time to enjoy it in the restaurant. The final straw was when we paid with a debit card their was a convenience fee added to the final bill, AFTER we had reviewed the bill before paying. This may seem insignificant, but we would have paid the bill in cash if we had been aware of the fee. We asked about how we would have been aware of the fee before we paid. We were told there was supposed to be a sign on the register and on the front door. We paid our waitress, and did not pay at the register so we would not have seen that sign if it had been there. We checked both the register and the front door, and there were no signs posted about the fee.If you don't mind waiting for average tasting food, then by all means enjoy your visit at The Oven. However, just know there are several other excellent small town restaurants in the area.
