Things to do in Campbell River
The flavours offered are awesome. Because I am allergic to banana, my choices are limited, but that does not deter me from going. I usually get a Very Berry, but tried a different one the last time, it had all the berries and yogurt too. Terrific on a hot day.
This is a quiet café at the airport and does not look very fancy. However, the breakfasts and burgers are very good and can easily compete with the other fancy restaurants in Campbell River. If you have some time and need some food, I would highly recommend to go early to the airport supporting this little café!

Legends offers a buffet style breakfast with lots of options. We ate there twice and enjoyed the pastries, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage etc. In addition to the usual buffet breakfast offerings, they served Mexican eggs which were delicious and eggs Benedict which were perfectly cooked. The wait staff were very friendly and kept the coffee coming.

The small diner was full but we waited because we immediately liked the ambience. The carrot lentil soup was excellent and so was the choc chip peanut butter cookie. The coffee is from Quadra Island and it was good. I didnât mind whatsoever that service was a little slow. It is a family run place and Nana came out to lend a hand from doing the prep. I look forward to going here often!

Well here it is, almost exactly a year to the date of my last review when, although not thrilled with the food, said we would give it a second chance. We actually ate there two days in a row, early supper and then brunch. For supper we had the 3 piece fish and chips. Plenty enough food for us to share, so was a relatively inexpensive meal. The fish, fries and cole slaw were delicious. And we are pretty picky when it comes to our fish. Aysha gave us good service and always with a smile. Now on to brunch. I again tried the corned beef hash (didn't learn from the first time or hoped they had hired a new chef?) and once again was disappointed. Don't overcook it! If they can't get it right they should just take it off the menu. My husband had the sausage and eggs and shredded hashbrowns and was happy with his choice. Tia was our server for this meal and had a helper who made sure our coffee was kept topped up and was just a pleasant addition to the staff. There is a downside to Banners though. The carpet looks like it has NEVER been cleaned since its installation and you have to wonder what all is living in it. The benches are ripped and taped and retaped. All in all, a very shoddy appearance. One wonders where the Health Inspectors are.

Met up with a group of friends for lunch and I tried the 1 piece cod with fries and coleslaw costing $12.75 plus tax. Cod was tasty with crispy batter plus the fries were not that crispy and rather pale looking. Small coleslaw complemented the meal.Other dishes ordered were the all day breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs which was perfectly cooked with hash browns and bacon or sausages. A plate of club sandwiches with turkey fillings and lots of garnishes looked also delicious ,except for the burnt toast . Service very friendly and smiley from our server. Very busy and great ambience on a Saturday lunch time.

We have been eating at this great coffee and good food cafe for fourteen years with never a poor plate of food or a less than enthusiastic welcome. Generous sized plates of good food combine with coffee drinks well made. Their soups are stellar. Further you can sit outside in the summer, and watch both the walk-by traffic and the activities on the ocean! Costs are average for generous servings.

We heard about the Super Caesar and had to try it. A drink and a meal all in one. This weeks version was an oyster slider, tater tots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, pickled bean and carrot cake. The food portions that passed by our table to others looked like good portions, and worth a second or third visit. Gluten free, vegan and a few other options available at this Mexi-cali restaurant.

Moxie's Grill & Bar Campbell River, casual dining restaurant located in the Discovery Harbour Shopping Centre, features a patio, full menu and bar. Open late
I was hesitant to try Moxieâs cause we usually try to avoid chains on vacation, but we were quite hungry after getting off our whale watching tour and Moxieâs was within walking distance of the boat. We sat out on the patio. The burger had a nice mix of flavors with two cheeses, the mustard aioli and the BBQ sauce. Strange that it can only be cooked well done, though. But the fried chicken sandwich was really outstanding. Our server was sweet, although not terribly attentive. We had to track her down for waters and drink refills more than once. Hi LaChatNoir,Thank you for your recent review on our restaurant. We do appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoy your stay in Campbell River. Kind regards.

I had to visit to check out its number one trip advisor rating. The place was heaving with happy diners. The menu was great and looking at some of other customers dishes very good portions. We had home made Clam Chowder, very good with garlic focaccia. This is an old fashioned diner. Milk shakes seemed very popular.Yes it did live up to its reputation.
