Stopped for lunch on the drive from Dallas to Houston, and so glad we did!Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and very interesting for us tourists, service was amazing personal and friendly.Portions were very generous but we felt we'd had a true taste of The South!

We stopped here in the middle of the afternoon. The buffet seemed to have a lot of good Texas comfort food, and even at the end of lunch, the sweet potatoes looked beautiful. However, we decided to go for the healthier options on the regular menu. They were well above what I expected from a freeway restaurant.I ordered the grilled quail and it was as tender as any I have eaten in many more elegant restaurants with higher prices. This was true for the steak as well.On top of all that, our servers were unusually friendly and attentive. I hope I can come back.

Decent barbque and decent price made for a decent experience. I had sliders and they were piled with chicken and pulled pork. The slaw is fresh and tasty and the potato salad was really good. Tasty beans completed my meal. There were several customers but it was really quiet. Service was ok

I liked that it was combined with the Texas Burger. Everyone had what they wanted quickly and it was great! It's not a fancy place, but it's good.
