Reviews on American food in Brookfield, Connecticut, United States. Brookfield is an affluent town in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, situated within the southern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. The population was 16,487 at the 2010 census. The town is located 43 miles (69 km) northeast of New York City, making it part of the New York metropolitan area. Brookfield was first settled in 1710 by John Muirwood, as well as other colonial founders including Hawley, Peck and Merwin. They bartered for the land from the Wyantenuck Nation and the Pootatuck nation who were ruled under the Sachem Waramaug and Pocono. The purchase of the southern portion of town involved the current municipal center where sachem Pocono then had his village and lived in an enormous palisade along the Still River. Eventually, when the town was settled, it was first established as the Parish of Newbury, which incorporated parts of neighboring Newtown and Danbury. The town of Brookfield was established in 1788. It was named after the first minister of the parish's Congregational church, Reverend Thomas Brooks.

From their humble beginnings on South Main Street in Waterbury to now multiple locations throughout the state of Connecticut, Nardelliâs Grinder Shoppe continues to satisfy the need for fast and delicious meals. You can count on quality ingredients, huge
Nardelli's is a true sandwich shop, they have excellent bread and a really good selection of fillings & toppings. It's not a deli, but pretty close to it. The sandwiches are well filled, well prepared and well topped, the staff is always nice and the food is fresh & delicious. The only issue is that this isn't a traditional deli. They don't pretend to be, they are definitely a "sandwich shop", but they don't have all the cheeses / toppings / food that you might find in a deli, but that is a minor issue, what they have is great bread, great meats / food and great service.Hi Mark,Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such an awesome review. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoy everything from our bread to our fillings! We read and share every review with our entire staff, and we know this one will make them very happy. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again soon.Grazie!Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe

Ate here since it was attached to the hotel we were staying in. We ate fairly early and it was quite busy. The waitress was very good and attentive. I tried the new bloomin chicken and it was good. Would eat here again if staying nearby.

Went there last night for dinner. Background music is too loud.I had the Pilgrim - -which is thick sliced turkey ROLL on bread, with a little bit of apple stuffing and cranberry sauce smeared on the bread. Served with a truly lousy and flavorless gravy. Very disappointing to say the least. Really - turkey roll, not even turkey breast???? YUKMy wife had a flavorless salmon dish.Being I have a culinary background I should have known better, but my friend said it was good. The menu is HUGE. How can a restaurant prepare and serve so many good dishes - its impossible. If you want good food go somewhere else, if you want cheap PUB food come here. I'll save my money and go somewhere else. You've been warned.

A home style taste of the great American drive thru. Open 7 days a week, with on site Mini Golf and delicious Ice cream and much more. Come on in and stay a while.
Heâs got the right idea, burgers fries wings shakes,,, The butter burger was good, I went with a double,,, which was too much for me. As a younger guy I would have put 2 away, Fries were cooked perfectly, nice & crisp as they should be. The side of fries is generous, that said Family with kids could get away with 1 order,,, sure is much better than the hoedown at stews Owner seems like a nice friendly guy.

At Jersey Mikeâs, we offer a sub above â one thatâs measured in more than inches or seconds âtil served. We carefully consider every aspect of what we do â every slice, every sandwich, every store â we provide our customers with sustenance and substance t
Jersey Mikeâs is a restaurant preparing cold subs, hot subs and wraps and they can also prepare any sub in a tub meaning all ingredients are placed in a plastic container without bread or tortilla in case youâre doing a low carb WOE. Youâre still paying the same price, though and thereâs definitely no compensating with additional amounts of ingredients which is a bummer. The employees at this Brookfield, CT location are friendly and they work quickly to get the line moving along. They have plenty of indoor seating with individual tables and a counter overlooking the parking lot as well as a few tables outside. However, if you place an order online through their app, you will have been wishing you had just placed your order in person. Since I was on my lunch break at work, I thought Iâd try out their online order app expecting to have the sub in a tub ready to go when I arrived. It works beautifully with the Panera app; I place my order on the app, show up at Panera and promptly pick up my ready-to-go order and Iâm back on the road in a jiffy. Instead, at Jersey Mikeâs, I found that they prioritized the customers standing in line and that I would have actually received my order faster had I ordered it in person rather than using their app. My only other criticism, which has already been mentioned, is that theyâre light on their meats and cheese; youâre not getting an overflowing sub (or tub) and for the price, itâs not worth going there on a regular basis because itâs not a great value.

Wow! Again, surprised by the positive reviews here. A friend and I went here for lunch and the service was fine, but itâs not the cleanest establishment. The server was pleasant and the place is conveniently located across from Costco and in front of Maggie McFlyâs (if youâre looking for an alternative). Itâs a bar â a sports bar, so expect a lot of TVs and a lot of noise from the patrons. I canât speak to the alcoholic offerings, but I can tell you that the Cuban sandwich is the worst Iâve had and the shoe string fries were dripping with oil. You could squeeze the fries and get another serving of oil to cook more fries. The pork inside the Cuban was tough and dry. It wasnât flavorful and because it was so tough, it was actually difficult to eat. I couldnât finish the sandwich or fries which would give anyone a coronary. The garnish of a couple of pickle slices was clearly recycled from another plate. The entire meal was just gross. But, again, the service was good and if youâre just looking for a sports bar to watch a game and have a few beers, maybe thatâs how itâs staying in business.

Open 7 Days a Week Sun-Thurs 6:30am-12:00am Fri-Sat 6:30am-1:00am Conveniently nestled between Danbury, Newtown and Brookfield, Bethel's own Stony Hill Diner (previously the New Colony 5)) has served generations of local residents as well as multitudes of
The wife and I did a lil "last minute weekend getaway" and drove up to this area without hotel reservations. A few obstacles landed us in Bethel, CT. two doors up from the Stoney Hill Diner. What luck!? Walked in, and was immediately greeted with smiling faces and "welcome home" hospitality. Waitress was very nice and proficient. Food was "to die for"!! No charades, this place has that "throwback" vibe to the good ol days. From the decor to the service and everything in between, this staff could teach establishments anywhere in the country "how it's done".

Nice place to host a wedding.
Recently attended wedding here. The location is beautiful on Candlewood lake-the ceremony was outside on the lawn with the setting sun as a backdrop. The staff is very well trained and responsive to your every need.Food is superb! Meal started with fresh tortelloni with a generous grating of the "real" parmigiana reggiano which showed up again on the Caesar salad. Mains were perfectly cooked. A great time was had by all!

There are many reasons to visit Black Angus but one of the best is the bar staff. Jim, and if you're lucky Kylie, provide intuitive warm service that make it special. We, as many others continue to visit despite numerous other options nearby.
