The Grange Bar & Eatery is Hamilton Heightsâ farm to table restaurant that serves meals made with fresh, seasonal ingredients in a neighborhood friendly atmosphere.
We went up to Harlem to see Alexander Hamiltonâs house. I knew there were some good place to eat in Harlem but didnât think there were any near we were. I was surprised. We decided on The Grange because it looked pretty cool. Well the food was great as was the service and the place looks really nice inside too. Itâs also pretty convenient if you are going to City College of New York which is also near by. If you are up in that area, check this place out. You wonât be sorry.

Weâve been coming here for years. The music is almost always great. The servers are gracious and attentive. But the food is consistently awful. Tonight we had barbecue ribs that were mediocre. Last time greasy fried chicken and the time before a very low quality steak. The only passable offering has been the hamburger, which for reasons the manager hasnât explained, theyâve discontinued. Go figure!

This restaurant has a warm atmosphere. Our party of 5 was promptly seated in a relatively quiet part of the restaurant (which was appreciated as the place can get very noisy). I was disappointed with my organic kale salad. The menu description was enticing but basically it was just a pile of leaves with the toppings so sparse that they required hunting down to find them (small bits of beans, carrot, sweet potato). The balsamic-agave dressing was very good, though. The sweet potato fries were over-cooked and the smaller ones were burnt black. The bread ordered for the table was tasteless and fluffy. Service was fine, no complaints, except that a wrong order was brought to our table (then promptly removed when we pointed this out). The restaurant is in an area where there are few restaurants, which may account for its popularity. However, in my opinion, it is not worth a special trip.

Ordered Ribs and Chicken combo. Food was old and dried up. Shrimps were old, food was not fresh and of very poor quality. Shrimp and baked potato $35. Not worth the money. Sammyâs fish box much much better. Go there. I sent food back and felt unwell after eating.

Our last night in NYC led us to Red Rooster in Harlem, designed by a well known chef, that lived up to the hype! It was a noisy, crowded spot with a combination of locals and tourists who wanted to taste the latest and greatest. We started with cocktails that we enjoyed as we looked over all the tasty-sounding menu choices. We ordered jerk chicken, branzino and I opted for a burgerâone of the best ever! It had bacon, sautéed onions and a mustard sauce that smothered a perfectly cooked patty in a bun that held all the juicy goodness. The fries were crisp and fried to salty perfection. The branzino was served whole over a bed of beans and veggies and the jerk chicken had a heat that complemented a juicy preparation. We shared a spiced dessert donut w/ice cream to top off a great meal with service that was vigilant without being overbearing. Quite a hot spot with food that matched the vibe!Hello! You had us at hot spot!!! We love that!We are truly flattered that you spent your last evening in NYC at Red Rooster Harlem, and we are thrilled to learn that we did not disappoint! Thank you so much for painting such a beautiful picture of some of our signature dishes. Your descriptive words really made our day! Wishing you safe travels! Please do join us again the next time you are in NYC.All the best,The Red Rooster Team

Dependably good for many years. Consistently well cooked fries. Newcomers will think the dogs are the best, and I agree: however, the price goes up, and the dog is SHRINKING. Pretty soon it will be a cocktail frank. Going here for over 45 years, I know the difference. I betcha it has shrunk 20%. It is still a great dog, just less of it. I rather pay more and get that old fashioned big hot dog. Free on site parking. Don't expect deluxe seating. You are back in the 60's.

Welcome to the River Palm Terrace, New Jersey's finest steakhouse! We serve the finest prime beef available anywhere. Only 1% of the beef fabricated in America is suitable for use in our restaurant. Our beef is hand selected from the best-fed cattle by th
NJ hot spot. Fantastic food that rivals NYCs best. Great service. Steaks are awesome and the sushi and seafood are terrific as well. The drinks are generous and the prices are MUCH lower than in Manhattan! Love this place. Thank you so much! You are awesome for posting such a great review! We appreciate it very much!

The bagels were fantastic! The fillings too! They let me taste test a few before I decided. I ultimately went with Chipotle avocado on everything & blueberry on plain. I wasnt disappointed! Only wish I had more room for more goodies.

I tried the combination platter. The pulled pork was descent, the ribs average and the sausage subpar. The Mac-n-cheese was good as were the salted potatoes. The service was very good, considering the large crowd. Hard to believe a bbq place doesnât offer banana pudding as a desert.

I went for the collard greens, candied yams, black-eyed peas, beef ribs and pork ribs. Everything was so tasty and felt so like grandmaâs cooking (not mine though, she wasnât such a great cook...). If youâre looking for selected ingredients and small portions nicely presented, this is not your place. But if you want honest food, Iâd say here they put their heart and of course their soul into it.
