Fine dining in a newly remodeled historic Anderson Valley building. Combining the American classics with local seafood and fare. We offer inside and outside dining in an inviting atmosphere. A great local spot with 6 beers on tap and a great selection of
We were staying nearby and were told about a new restaurant in Philo. Six of us were seated promptly. The menu was small, but everyone found something they liked. I had crab cakes and they were tasty. We had local wine, which was good. The service was fine. The only issue was one person said the fried chicken was not all completely cooked to her preference. Overall this was a good new place that hopefully will succeed.Thank you for youâre feedback! We hope to see you again next time. Cheers!

Boonville is a pass-thru little town, that unless you're a Beer or Wine person, has no real destination experience. We were looking for lunch on our way back from the Coast. We scoped some streetside menus from other little places and chose Buckhorn. We began outside in the patio, but due to the temperature and the flies, we retreated to inside. It's a nice clean place that hangs the history of Boonvile throughout. We had the Chicken Sandwich and the French Dip, and I'll say that it was very good. I appreciated the feel and the food, and the service was good. It's a worthy stop that I would recommend....

After reading some Tripadvisor reviews, my wife and I decided to explore the Anderson Valley for a weekend which included a stop at the Boonville Hotel for dinner at Table 128. It's a unique dining experience where the outdoor deck is laid out with mismatched tables beneath a large apple tree. A small outdoor bar serves wine and beer. Comfortable chairs are available throughout the yard for conversation and small plates. It's comfortable, casual, and quirky. The hotel grounds are charming and well manicured. Arrive early to hang out and take advantage of the lovely setting to sit and just relax. Before dinner, we chose a couple adirondack chairs under a large tree that overlooked the garden. We drank some wine and ordered some small plates (oysters and a charcuterie plate) that were both delicious. They served paella the night we were there, which is cooked outside over a wood fired grill. The smells wafting through the grounds before dinner were a delightful prelude to the actual dinner. Our paella was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful with prawns, chorizo, and chunks of pork. The accompanying Caesar salad was also fresh and flavorful. The dessert was a fresh honey pie with salted ice cream... It was unbelievable. The staff was friendly and provided great service. The only thing I think that could've been better was the wine selection which, given the proximity to some great local wines, was surprisingly a bit limited. All in all, a wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back to Table 128.

Located in the Boonville Hotel in Anderson Valley.
This prix-fixe dinner restaurant wowed us last night, with a delicious smoked trout pate, a crisp little gem salad, a decadent roast pork with polenta and horseradish cream, and a wonderful chocolate walnut tart. All with knowledgeable and attentive service. A perfect meal after spending the afternoon touring the majestic redwoods at Montgomery Woods State Reserve, which is a lot like Muir Woods without the hordes. This restaurant is always good -- worth a day trip to see the redwoods and eat here.

Everything from breakfast to sandwiches to pizzas to interesting twists on old favorites, the Boonville General Store has them. If you are lucky enough to arrive on a day when they're serving chilaquiles, by all means order those! The specialty pizzas are always good, as are the quiche/tarts. Decadent desserts and morning baked goods are always worth a try. We've eaten there many, many times, and it's always been good.

The menu is quite eclectic! Comfort food to Thai dishes. Food is above average and service is good. Reasonably priced. Place could use a scrub and updating.
