The original 1912 Hapgood's building is reminiscent of European architecture with it's 1/2 timber house design. The interior exudes a warm comfortable ambiance complete with fireplace, clean hardwood floors and a cookie jar on the counter. The waiting area is furnished like a living room parlor. It is simply a wonderful way to start your morning sipping coffee and checking your Inbox. Water is served in a Mason jar while coffee is served in a small mug with a tiny handle. I like a large mug I can grip. The menu is extensive with some unique items not found in franchise breakfast options. I enjoyed the Egg Benedict at $12. The egg did not run all over the place when cut. The serving staff was professional and efficient without being stuff and in your face, They have out door seating when the weather is cooperative. The parking lot is 100 feet from the front entrance and probably a bit of an issue for some handicapped patrons.

For over 35 years Poor Henry's Restaurant has been family owned and serves the best Prime Rib, Salmon, Flounder, Pasta, Steaks, Big juicy burgers and many more. We have favorites like Guinness, Smithwicks, Harp, Hoegaarden Yeungling and Long Trail on tap.
I had a workman/friend work with me packing for a move. We went here for lunch and sat at the bar. I've been in here many times with adult son who works in design for the craft beer industry. He loves their craft beer selections!!I got an Industrial IPA (great) and Tony, the lovely Irishman who works the bar, let me have a taste prior to ordering a whole drink. He is a hoot and joked and kidded with us, Tony is worth the trip!I got their fish and chips they were OUTSTANDING! CRISP! GREAT! Friend got the chicken pot pie and really enjoyed that and also ate one of my pieces of fish and pronounced it 'great!' THIS is a friendly, old-time bar with great food and nice casual place.

Maxfield's on Main; Music House and Kitchen - A rustic firehouse, painstakingly restored to is original grandeur, featuring world class entertainment and small plates.
We were told it was busy (had to book) and there was live jazz on Wednesdays. We were 4 of only 7 people in the whole place, the music was 2 50 year olds individually playing guitars and singing their own songs slightly out of tune. The food was poor, the service was fine - not recommended

Excellent food & service. I had 1/2 dozen cocktail shrimp and they were large and perfectly cooked; some of the best I've ever had. I also had the crab & avocodo salad which was large and very tasty. My husband had a shrimp salad which he said was excellent. This restaurant has a sports bar atmosphere (many t.v.'s), many types of beer on tap & by bottle, They have many options on the menu, with (as expected) many seafood options & wings. They appear to be very popular with locals and were packed on the Saturday night when we visited. Despite the large crowd, service was prompt & friendly. If we lived in the area we would make a point of coming here often!

What can you say about a chain restaurant, except the IHOP in Boonton is more invovled in the local community than elsewhere perhaps. The staff are always friendly and of course the food meets the standards of the franchise. We are regulars here, having teenagers, who meet friends here for breakfast or after school etc. Its a good Boonton hang-out.

Outdoor tables are available on what was the passenger platform of this former railroad station. As walk ins on a Friday evening we were seated promptly. The food was good and the service was friendly. There is limited parking right at the restaurant, but there are other options nearby.

My husband and I ate here for NYE early as we had tickets to a show near NYC. We were both impressed with the atmosphere and service and the food could not have been better. The hangar steak was one of the best meals my husband has ever enjoyed. I had a taste, and he was correct! Families with small well behaved children dined alongside us. Unique historic building, old world class oozing without pretense! Go!
