Made reservation for a Friday night around 8:00 Pm, Perfect time to go, not crowded, nice and quiet and the service was impeccable! Shawnta was our server, She is a beautiful and very pleasant young lady who knows her business and knows how to be attentive without crowding,We started with the roasted red pepper flat bread wit goat cheese and arugula and vinaigrette drizzle, My wife ordered the 8 oz. fillet minion and a baked potato and I ordered the 20 oz. bone in rib eye with lobster mac and cheese, Let me tell you that this was one of the best meals perfectly cooked and the flavors where pure heaven!! We had gone to Chris Ruth's steak house for twice the money and had the worst experience!! If you want a true flavorful meal done perfectly to your taste go to the Point Sea and Steak in wheeling wv. We may have not left the casino with riches in our pocket, But we left feeling like a million dollars!! Simply the best!

Ye Olde Alpha is a Wheeling restaurant institution, and celebrates its 85th year in 2017. We pride ourselves on fresh, quality food with impeccable service
My "local" husband wanted a trip down memory lane, so we went to Ye Olde Alpha. The decor is tired, the food is uninspired, drinks are boring & the service was very basic. However, the place was quite crowded on a Thursday night....though I'm certainly not sure why!Thank you for coming to dine with us and we apologize that your experience was not a favorable one. The Alpha is celebrating its 87th year so while we think we are doing some things right, we are not perfect. We appreciate you taking the time to review us regardless. If we can help in any other way, please contact us through our website

The Vagabond has become one of favorites here in Wheeling! Chef Matt and his team have put together a great combination of food, drink and atmosphere. Tonight was a great example the food was excellent, service was top notch and being that it was first Friday we were treated to the music of Gallowglass!

Wheeling Brewing Company is a micro-brewpub located in Wheeling's historic Centre Market district in downtown Wheeling, WV.
The food and most of the beer sampled were good, one we finally got them. It was a busy Friday night but sitting at the bar I would have thought we would be hard not to see. Staff looked at us but decided washing a few items and placing them in bins was more important than getting our order. A couple next to us questioned about some of the beers and nary a sample was offered, the look on their face when tasting said it all a small sample would have been better for choosing what they hoped for.

Normally a New Englander, but came into Wheeling to visit family and we went here for lunch. It's small, clean, casual and unassuming. At home, something like this would probably be a chic overpriced hipster thing. Here there's no airs being put on, which is really refreshing. Food was excellent. Honestly I had expected "OK". The waitstaff was very pleasant (although I've been to Wheeling many times and never had bad or unfriendly service, nice people there). Really good beer list (like quality stuff, not Bud). Summary: This place is worth going to, not just "good for a small town", and certainly worth driving a mile off I-70 to get to.
Who doesn't love a hometown family owned type dinner?!?! What's a Gulla, you ask? Well it's a hotdog (Gulla sauce, mustard, and onion)!!! Of course that's not all they have, it's just what they are famous for. Full diner type menu for lunch, dinner menu, and catering. And.... did I mention the Fries n' gravy!!! Service is friendly and fast and you can't beat the prices. Less than $30.00 for 3 people.

A must visit while in Wheeling or Center Market! Iâve never had a bad experience here... only long waits sometimes but thatâs due to its popularity! Fish sandwiches are the best...and the seasoned fries are delish!
