We found this place by chance. The hostess seemed to be confused about where to seat us. But not to worry. From then on it was great. Our waitress Dianne was quite the comedian. She was really the best waitress weâve had in a long time. She was very knowledge about the meals and made great recommendations based on my food allergies. I had the walleye. My wife had chicken Marsala. It was very good. We will be back! The scallops were fantastic!

Located in the heart of Bayfield, Greunke's has been serving food to locals and visitors alike since 1940. Our fun, funky, and eclectic décor sparks memories for all generations and we are family friendly! Our fabulous staff makes your experience even mor
When street parking was at a premium, Greunke's parking lot was empty so we decided to stop there for lunch. The place definitely provides a trip back in time. The waitress was quite talkative and we had a chance to look at the memorabilia on the walls (photos, newspaper articles, album covers, and records) while we waited for our lunch to arrive. The food was tasty and portions were larger than what we needed. Of all the things I looked at, the most unforgettable was a collage of items about John Kennedy Jr. and his stay at the inn.

Lunch for 5 of us was prompt and delicious. I had a very interesting take on a Caesar salad which was a southwest interpretation with a spicy dressing and tortilla chips. Very good. My colleagues had a vegetarian pizza that they devoured. The service was excellent.

My family visited this restaurant during a trip to Bayfield in August 2019. Two of us enjoyed the fish & homemade chips, and the other two could not stop raving about the grilled romaine & shrimp salad. Yummy ice cream for dessert. Great service too

Classic Bayfield. Majority of the crowd wearing t-shirts. Smaller place, so gets crowded early and a little loud. Not formal, but nice decor. Good kidsâ menu. Most tables have a decent view of the water. Service is quick, but very good. You can get fresh Lake Superior trout or whitefish prepared several ways. If you want local, this is your place. Menu was very good. Food was well prepared. Highly recommend.

Excellent personable service, both meals, but a small mixup on the dinner order. We had a cocktail out on the porch before dinner. Very nice and comfortable spot in a pleasant breeze. Our orders were taken, we were not hurried in the dining room. It was properly quiet, food was excellent. Heartily recommended for an intimate dinner for two or more. And breakfast was equally so. Wish I had taken away a dozen muffins. And bacon. For the Road.

We are a seasonal restaurant in downtown Bayfield, serving fresh fish, gourmet pizza, delicious pasta and Black Angus Beef steaks.
My wife and I came here for dinner because it was recommended to us by the staff of the old Rittenhouse Inn. It was a great choice. While my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs which were very tasty, I think the best value on the menu was the surf and turf. It was a 10 ounce New York strip and fresh whitefish from the lake for only five dollars more van the New York strip by itself. The steak was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. We would certainly come back here again next time we are in town.
