First time back for steak night after bad meal 4 weeks ago. Steak was under cooked & tough. Waitress offered new steak, ordered it well done, came out rare. The cook is terrible, at least during my visits. My friend's steak was also undercooked. We cannot seem to get a fully cooked steak here. Will not be returning any time soon & I do not recommend.

So disappointed in this restaurant. Took my partner for his birthday and it was not a successful evening. The Bananas Foster were wonderful, but the appetizer--Giant Crab Cakes (which were not giant) were cold in the center and not warm anywhere. The steaks were backwards--his order was a filet, medium well, butterflied; mine was a bacon wrapped filet with bacon, medium rare. They were both over cooked and reversed with the bacon. The dessert was terrific...although my Lava Chocolate cake was less than fabulous.

Billys is good. Same home time owners forever so very consistant in the outcome of the food. We like the chicken the best there. It really could use some updating, flooring, etc. after all has been supported by locals forever they can give back a little.

Grace Miller is a lovely local cafe.I have only tried their daily specials. The food is plentiful and good. The service was very good. The venue is lovely local. I find the brisket, turkey, and sausages quite tasty. The jalapeño and cheese pork and beef sausage is a bit spicy and I really like spicy. The beef sausage also has tasty spices and is well cooked.The potato salad and cole slaw are both made well. Chose this place for dinner as the reviews were so good. Looks like a rundown shack from the outside. but appearances are certainly deceiving here. Smallish menu, but even I, as a non meat eater, found something that I thoroughly enjoyed. Service friendly & efficient, very good value for money - seems to have a lot of local regular customers who are well known to the staff, which gives the place a nice feel & atmosphere.

Really enjoyed dinner here - gorgeous place, reminded me of having lunch at The Grist Mill in Gruene a few Texas trips ago â situated by the Colorado River with outside seating on staggered levels, which we didn't opt for as the local mosquito population just love my husband! I went for 2 'small plates' (finally!) - the black bean hummus & the Texas bruschetta, both absolutely delicious, & he had the Hippy Dippy sandwich, a concoction of artichokes, peppers, onions & spinach which he thoroughly enjoyed & demolished fairly rapidly, followed by chocolate mousse & ice cream, which I did give him some assistance with! They mention a 'scratch kitchen' on their menu, & everything does indeed look & taste home-made. The staff were just lovely, & the lady dealing with us took time to explain their philosophy, give us information about our chosen dishes & answer a few questions we had. Would definitely recommend this establishment & would eat here again if we're ever in the area.Wow Carolyn! Thank you for such a thoughtful and lovely review! Small town local restaurant with a great breakfast menu & nice to choose from a la carte menu. Recently added espresso drinks, sometime even in a milkshake! Huge blueberry pancakes, even kid size, are delicious. Also like the oatmeal with blueberries and toasted pecans. Two baked good cabinets make having something sweet very tempting with every cookie ever tried worth the calories. Location is great downtown Bastrop (just 30 minutes from Austin) close to Colorado river accessible between Wells Fargo and Neighbors via a bunch of steps to a walking trail that goes to Fishermen's park.

I visited Paw Pawâs while in Bastrop. It is a comfortable feeling place and I enjoyed the spot. Located in the middle of the Main Street Historic district, it features rustic furniture, fishing photos and catfish!It has a great family feel to it and was a nice spot to visit!

We love Bucees. The restrooms are super clean. The changing areas for infants are kept very clean. The fudge, icees, barbeque sandwiches, and candy selection are great. We love to shop in the store. The staff are very friendly.
