Were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before girls night out and a movie. I travel to Avon Park at least 6 times a year and never knew this place was here. Looks like a little hole in the wall from the outside but when you step inside you will be pleasantly surprised. Seating is limited and during snowbird season you better come early. This location has it all... great food, awesome customer service and is priced right. Loved the fact the owner comes around and introduces himself and asks if everything was satisfactory. After 9:00pm they have live music so it gets a little loud but just know this and come early for dinner. You won't be disappointed this is a must on your bucket list for Avon Park Fl.

If you enjoy great fried chicken this is the place. Prices are reasonable too Delicious cole slaw and French fries were my choice. Cole slaw was so good I bought a pint to go. Only four booths for four to eat at in the restaurant. Mostly this is a to go spot. I am glad we stopped. Until next time....

This is a great place for Senior Citizens to go. It has food that is typical everyday cafeteria style without much spice. Cost is not expensive but not low either. The servers are very friendly and good.

We went to Dutcher's several times this season and had excellent food and service each time. I have mentioned before that they close in mid-afternoon so this is not a spot for dinner. Early in the season this year they experimented with opening for dinner hour but the experiment did not last long before they went back to closing in mid-afternoon. The service remains friendly and personal and the food is staying up to an excellent quality level. They have a soup and salad bar that is only seen if you know to go into the front part of the diner. We will continue to make Dutcher's a part of our round of usual luncheon stops when we are in Florida for the season. Recommended - not fancy - just good.

Eighteen East opens at 4 pm do itâs the perfect spot for late lunch after a fantastic matinee performance at SFC. Seven of us were seated immediately and had expert wait service from a great guy whose name I believe was Dave. He is s thoroughly competent server with the top personality. Meals were served promptly and every meal was deemed perfection at our table. From drinks (wines, margaritas, bourbon) to the full meals we were completely satisfied. I highly recommend the Philly steak sandwich. The Portobello Mushroom sandwich was exactly the same with the steak/mushroom switchout. You couldnât miss either way. The filet mignon was served to two of our friends who order it every time they come. Dessert is limited to one choice but donât worry. You wonât have room for dessert!Great meal!What a treat to get those that are able to go to the shows!!! I hope the show was as good as your review!!! (They do a wonderful job at the college!!!!!!) come see us soon!!!

A funky location. Formerly was a convenience store. their specialty seems to be just about any cold drink there ever was. Several coolers of bottles with names no one ever heard of. The food was good - just not very hot. Service was good - but not outstanding.

You absolutely cannot beat the Depot restaurant for consistent great homemade lunches and fabulous homemade desserts. We are regulars and are never disappointed. The wait staff, kitchen staff and Cynthia (who takes your money) are all very congenital and make you feel welcome every time you come through the door. Btw, the portions are generous, and you usually have enough for dinner. I highly recommend the Depot Restaurant as a great place to eat.

My husband and I stopped for dinner, our first visit. Our server Sadie was very friendly and got us our drinks right away. My husband had the Cracker Burger with cheese, bacon and pork cracklings. It was cooked correctly and looked delicious. I had the shrimp po-boy and it was soooooo good. It had many large shrimp on a grilled bun with tomato, onion, pickle and sauce. I will definetly order it again the next time I visit. Thank you for taking the time to give us such a great review! We always love hearing feedback from our customers. I am not impressed with the restaurant in Hotel Jacaranda (we did not stay at the hotel, only ate there. The food is prepared by culinary students. Variety was good. However, most of the food was prepackaged or purchased from Gordon Food. I was anticipating some good home cooking. This was not it.

The seafood platters were over cooked and the cod fingers were also but the hush puppies were undercooked. The cooking oil taste on the fried seemed to need changing. The bright spot was the server who was excellent and the salad bar was very good.
