If you like drinking close to where your toes can touch the sand, this is the place. We did not eat here however, we had a few enjoyable drinks. We felt compelled to order the pina coladas that everyone raved about. There were good, but not great (in our opinion). We felt that the slippery monkey was a much better alcoholic beverage. We spent a lot of time at the Pega Pega Grill and Beach Bar during our stay at the Manchebo Beach Resort and it was a wonderful experience every time! The menu has a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans. The menu is extensive, particularly for a beach bar. The atmosphere is fun and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. I want to thank, Junior, who always went above and beyond to be helpful to us during our stay. Thanks Junior! The food here was excellent, along with the service. The setting is quite beautiful too as you can see the west, north and eastern edges of the island and ocean. My husband and I ordered drinks during happy hour, which is all day. The waitstaff gave us a menu and we ordered mudslides that were 2 for the price of 1. We were amazed at the price of the drinks, we thought OMG 2 frozen drinks for 7.50 US dollars. When the bill came the bartender had charged us 11 US dollars, my husband brought this difference to the bar staffs attention. The waitstaff said he had brought us an old menu and offered to pay the difference. We certainly did not want the waiter to pay out of his pocket. We would like everyone to be aware that the bar is charging different prices for drinks during happy hour. The drinks were good and the waitstaff very friendly, just not sure what is going on with the pricing?Hi myopinion63, thank you for the visit and for taking the time to share your experience with us. We discovered this place while paddle boarding with Dennis Martinez (look him up for water excursions!) We ended our trip here and grabbed a drink while we waited for him to get the car to pick us up. The staff was friendly, the place was laid back and had a gorgeous view of the marina. They didn't care that we were wet and didn't have shoes haha.We liked it so much that we went back the next day for lunch. It had a great selection of tapas and sandwiches. My husband got a fish sandwich for 15 dollars. I got 2 apps. Conch fritters and garlic shrimp. I will say the apps are a little pricey, but they are quality and delicious, plus the staff is amazing and everything is expensive in Aruba. And the location!!!!! When I say expensive, I mean that the garlic shrimp (3 shrimp) came with a small tasting of the most amazing macaroni salad I ever had. But, the app was 10 dollars. I'd still order it again. And we plan to go back to the place again when we visit in 2 years. If you are looking for laid back, small, island casual that locals visit, too... Go here. You won't be disappointed!

With Aruba's Dutch connection, this is "local" without being "local". (Made answering the Trip Advisor questions tough - is this a Caribbean restaurant? Yes - it's located in the Caribbean. Is this an European restaurant? Yes - it's got "Dutch" in the name). In truth it's the best of both worlds. We enjoyed pancakes for breakfast, pizza at lunch time, and delicious desserts. And one little local just hopped up onto our table to join us - a bird with a beautiful blue eye (I included a photo). Service was good on some occasions, not on others. Prices were good for the amount of food you got. Lots of variety in terms of the food they serve - surely everyone in your group will find something they like. The restaurant overlooks a little stage, and one night we were treated to a vocalist. There was also a beautiful sunset - just walk from the restaurant towards the water, and that's your spot for photos.Enjoy!

Reasonable priced, excellent food, great craft beer selection with a great mix of locals, tourist and expats and the local motorcycle gang. They often throw great parties with live bands and the waiters are super nice, although I think they are somewhat understaffed.
