This little deli tucked in the back of the Chevron station has the best sandwiches in tiown, and at the best price. They have a regular staff that has been with them a while, always a good sign.It is walkup service, but they offer a good variety of sandwiches, plus specials, and lots of salad choices.I stop in almost once a week, usually for take out but they have clean tables and rest rooms for those who want to eat in.A favorite of local folk.

A very plesant experience here. The locale, situated on Highway 4 at the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and very close to the lake, is cozy and comfortable, with a nice deck and view.We had very good food served here - the hamburguers with french fries dusted with chickpea flour and the fried calamari are absolutely worth mentioning - and the service was prompt. Quite expensive but definitely worth the visit ( and the adjacent lake is spectacular ).

The restaurant food was "awful". There were four of us and none of us had a good meal. I had to send my grilled chicken back because I couldn't even chew it. They brought me a hamburger patty that was not a good substitute. The bar takes up part of the restaurant and it was so noisy, I couldn't wait to leave.

First of all, What does the photo on this page have to do with this restaurant? Round Table is located in the shopping plaza near the Big Trees grocery store and this photo is not related to it. More importantly, I did not like the pizza very much. Not much better than a frozen pizza and way more expensive. The $7 lunch deal might be a bargain but the pizza would still be lacking. It's bland. Not that much topping. Not ooey-gooey cheesey. In summary: Not terrible, just forgettable. Pricey too.

Pretty much what the heading says, you can't go wrong. Was more like visiting a neighborhood joint where you feel like you know everyone, just very friendly. Richard, the owner, just a good fella, working hard to earn a living, and putting a smile on while he's doing it.

Had a Sunday dinner at the restaurant with friends and found the meal choices to be slightly greater than at the lounge, but the prices to be considerably more and the ambiance rather formal and less enjoyable. Service was fine and the food quality and the serving portions were adequate, but nothing more. Next time, we'll be back in the lounge and expecting a more casual and pleasant overall experience.

Rib-eye special cooked to perfection, ditto with Swordfish Special and my Scallop special entree was very delicious. I only got 3 scallops, which was enough for me but a larger appetite would be disappointed. Our entrees were all over $35. Watermelon/tomato salad was tasty and just right for the warm weather. Great single glass wine selection. The white cake dessert was expertly baked and presented. Noisy acoustics inside...hard to have conversations when tables are occupied. Must request outside when making reservation.

The beer at Snowshoe is good. They brew a Hefeweizen, an IPA, a dark and do them well. The food was good, not great, but standard brewpub fare.
