I was referred here by a local. I eat a lot of barbeque in Corpus Christi, so I am a little picky. This was great! Friendly staff, and they have a great view of the surrounding mountains (including Twin Peaks outside).

This place could be great...but isn't....a great looking diner inside and out but the staff !! My word, so unprofessional, it doubles as reception for the adjoining Travelodge and it just doesn't work !! The person that cooked our food was sitting on the kerb outside on her phone as we went in and as we left, other women clustered around the desk gossiping, tables uncleared, food was ok but nothing to rave about, a real shame

Great place to get a meal. We had a baked potato with buffalo chicken and blue cheese. It was huge and we split it between 2 people. So delicious. We also got fried okra and some spicy sauteed broccoli, also very delicious. The people are super friendly and helpful with the menu.

We have eaten at this smart little place three times since it opened and each time we have fallen in love with what we ordered AND the soup of the day. The food is absolutely top notch, the Creekside Burgers cooked to perfection, salads just the right size and yumminess and the soups interesting and delicious. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming and it's easy to relax in their outdoor dining area surrounded by trees and flowers. We can't recommend this place highly enough as it's the best place for lunch in all of Alpine - fresh, delectable food that will bring you back again and again as it did to us.Dear Guest,We can't say thank you enough for such a lovely and thoughtful review. We really appreciate your support and hope to welcome you back very soon. Many thanks and all the best!

Judy's Bread and Breakfast

Reviewed By MarkCharney

I used to stop at Judy's every time I was headed home from Marfa. I loved the big cinnamon rolls and the delicious breakfast. But recently, the service has been spotty and the meals, just not as good. Cold. Runny eggs. Glutinous pancakes. I still recommend it because in the something-like 7 times I've been there, it's been good like 5, and not like 2. So I encourage you to try the place. Service is friendly. And the sweets can be good. Go early. The place can be crowded.

I was disappointed with the food. I am Mexican and love Mexican food but this restaurant is a sub-par and over priced. I had tacos and they were greasy and small. Others in the party ordered different plates and they too were disappointed. My wife ‘s enchiladas were cool and my daughter ‘s chicken fried steak was over cooked. The rest of the party ordered hamburgers and they enjoyed them. They had one waitress and she was running from one table to another and had wait for her to take orders and bring out food before we could pay. When I paid with a credit card they added an adjustment fee (fee they pay the credit company) to my bill. It was not a good experience and when we visit my granddaughter this place will be no no for me.

Guzzi Up

Reviewed By MarkCharney

I've been to Guzzi Up twice, and both times, I've loved the big portions and the good food. This past time around, I had their meatballs (truly delicious) and marinara over fettuccini noodles. They slathered on a bit too much sauce for me in proportion to the noodles, but man, it was good. The meatballs are the real things. My friends had the personal pizzas, just right sized, and my wife loved the veggie sandwich, maybe because of the green onion mayo and the enormous amount of cheese. Service can be a big spotty, but mostly everyone is friendly. Not THAT many tables so get there early.
