This is a very well lit and clean restaurant. The workers were friendly, service was quick, and food was hot and delicious. I wish other restaurants in area would follow their example.Keep up the good work Kostas!

We came in here on a spur of the moment. Just looking for a place to have a couple drinks at the bar and maybe an appetizer. Very cozy place to hang. Our bartender made these amazing Raspberry/Lemon Martinis. My wife got the Wagyu Burger w/American Cheese. The fries came in this mini deep fryer basket. Cool presentation. She loved it. I had the trout w/broccoli and fried rice. Just beware. When you order they inform you that its a whole trout with the head included. Fantastic meal and presentation. I feel that the menu is both simple and exotic at the same time. A lot of items we want to come back and try.

Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant - just opened a couple of months ago
Have gone here for breakfast with friends quite a few times. Most recent visit food was very good as usual. Also have lunch options. Greek style restaurant where you pay at the counter, always busy when we are there (a good sign). Prices are OK, not cheap Denny's type options but not a super high end expensive breakfast either. W

American fare that's at times familiar & other times adventurous in a laid-back modern setting.
We started with the Firecracker Cauliflower as an appetizer. It was panko breaded fried cauliflower tossed in chili aioli. It was touted as a veggie choice. However in ours in addition to the cauliflower, there were 2 pieces of calimari and also 2 fried mushrooms. All in all, it was a delicious dish. However if we were vegetarian and found calimari mixed in, we would have been upset. It makes me wonder if they fry the calimari in the same fryer as the cauliflower. For my entree I had the CHICKEN ASIAN CHOP CHOP. The description of it on the menu says "sesame-glaze, snow peas, roasted peanuts, red bell peppers, jicama, wontons, peanut-ginger dressing". There was a lot of cabbage and also red cabbage in this salad. I'm not supposed to eat cabbage so I was not able to eat very much of my entree. My wife ate some of it. It tasted good, I was just surprised at the large amount of cabbage since it was not mentioned in the menu.Thankfully I had also ordered some french onion soup. It made up for not being able to eat very much of my salad. It was delicious, with a rich onion flavor, with some bread on top and baked cheese. My wife had the spicy chicken and avocado eggrolls. She said they were very tasty, and they were served with salsa and sour cream. For dessert we shared the SALTED CARAMEL GOOEY BUTTER CAKE. It was described on the menu as "St. Louisâ signature dessert, Houlihanâs style â finished with Ghirardelli salted caramel sauce, powdered sugar and vanilla ice cream $5.95". It tasted absolutely delicious. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but that was to be expected on a Saturday night. The service was good.

We enjoyed the Sunday brunch celebrating three birthdays. Wonderful omlets with many different fillings. Eggs Benedict were great also. Smoked salmon and trout hit the spot. Of course had crab legs and peel and eat shrimp. The shrimp were over cooked but the crab was great. Many salads to pick from. Great selection of desserts also.

Satisfy your cravings here at The Texan Barbecue. We offer Southern favorites, including Hickory Smoked Ribs, Half Lb Sandwiches, and Brunswick Stew. Check out our kid-friendly menu. Our local, family-owned restaurant is a great choice when you want to in
We were at the Algonquin Founders' Day Parade and decided to go to lunch after my grandkids had walked the length of the parade. The Texan BBQ is only a block off of Algonquin Rd. on N. Main St. There was parking in the lot and there is street parking. Though there is outside seating, we opted for the inside as it was cooler. We seated ourselves immediately and then ordered our food at the counter. There is a large menu board at the order counter. There is a small counter for additional condiments - including different BBQ sauces. Once ordered, the food is brought to the table. And, there is a small salad counter. Though the salads looked fresh, there wasn't a very large offering. We ordered chicken tenders with curly fries which came with baked beans and a dinner roll. We also ordered a small slab of ribs with curly fries and a dinner roll, as well. We decided on two rib tip dinners which came with a choice of cole slaw, crinkled fries, baked beans or mashed potatoes.and a dinner roll. There was more than enough of chicken tenders for my two granddaughters to share. My grandson found the ribs to be tasty. The rib tips were really good and came off of the bones very easily. The rib tips were quite tender. We also ordered BBQ chicken and a large cornbread muffin. The drinks are self-serve, though the fountain machine was far from our table. Everything was tasty and everyone enjoyed their meals, so much so, that there was absolutely nothing left. The total price for the eight of us - four adults, a growing teenager and three littler ones was very reasonable.

Busy on the weekends but that should be expected. Great breakfast causes the place to be busy. There is something for everyone. From savory to sweet super yummy. A little over pricey $4 bucks to add a side of hollandaise sauce. Service was good. Food didnt take to long to come out. I think we waited to be seated longer. Worth a stop for breakfast!

Saturday evening we revisited Bonefish Grill for another excellent dinner and dining experience. It began with the perfect muddled cucumber martini for me and my husbandâs dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. Then, the dumpling appetizer (so yummy) and finally our entrees served with a glass of wine. My sea bass, again, was perfect. In addition to excellent food, Deanna B, our server, was wonderful. She checked with us often, was knowledgeable and friendly...we could not have asked for better service. Thank you to Bonefish Grill for an excellent dining experience.

We chose Montarra to celebrate our wedding anniversary primarily based on a review we saw on Check Please (aired January 2019). Although the food was good and the service was adequate, our experience did not match what we saw on the show. The waterfall and chandelier shown in the review is located in the main dining room which was closed for a private party so we didnât get to see it. The menu was personalized with happy anniversary but it would have made the evening special if a small dessert to share was presented at the end. The complimentary bread basket are thin crisps that are overly salty. We enjoyed the tuna tartare with smashed avocado and red pepper aioli served with white corn chips. I had the mixed grill plate that was delicious; however I was not able to dejoint the rack of lamb. My husband had the rib eye steak which was tender and flavorful. Overall we had a nice meal but nothing exceptional.

We are a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Crystal Lake, Illinois. We believe fine dining is more than the very best in food, service and atmosphere. It is creating a space where you feel at home, in a way, but are still surprised. Itâs a conversati
noisy. The new owner spent some time and money remodeling this establishment and it shows. However, the downside is a very noisy venue despite their attempts at sound deadening panels in the ceiling. Perhaps some soft materials on the walls and carpeting would help. The level is such that some patrons, it seems, talk louder so their companions can hear them and the level spins out of control. Our server was attentive although the place was busy.Foodwise, the fare is varied, well-prepared and not your everyday menu.I thoroughly enjoyed my butt steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My wife's pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes and vegetables was also very good. The salad served with our meal was good sized, fresh and we especially liked the fact that they toss each salad with the chosen dressing rather than just ladling on a portion of dressing. Nice even coverage of dressing (which were delicious).Only the noise level kept us from giving this restaurant a "5".Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. Noise can be a challenge when you have a full dining room, but certainly a problem we feel fortunate to have! We will definitely take your feedback into consideration and look forward to having you again soon!
