Find out what African restaurants to try in Freetown. First settled in the 18th century by freed slaves from America, Nova Scotia and Great Britain, Freetown is a thriving cultural capital on the Atlantic coast of Sierra Leone. Standing in the center of downtown is the majestic cotton tree, a symbol of freedom said to have been standing since the first arrival of the free settlers. Other attractions include numerous beaches and nightclubs, as well as the Sierra Leone Museum, housing the Ruiter Stone and the original drum of Bai Bureh.

One of the most tranquil beach bars in Freetown. Enjoy the gentle Atlantic breezes, the romantic ambiance and the Jazz and Blues scene in surroundings that completely engulf you.
This was my first food stop in Sierra Leone. The location is beautiful. The service is very personal and efficient, and the smoothie was awesome. The pizza was good for Africa, don't expect perfect. And the bare bones toilet was across the street and didn't flush. The cadre, however, was perfect. Patio on the ocean separated from hawkers by a curtain of leaves. I felt relaxed, refreshed, and happy.

Beach Apple is one of the best place to eat and also have fun. I have a wonderful time there when I visited Freetown, Sierra-Leone. The location is very relaxing and the view by the Lumley beach is so pretty. The staffs are so attentive and we make sure that you are please with your service. The music is very relaxing in the club. They play every kind of music to give you the satisfaction you need. I love to visit there any time I spent my vacation in Sierra-leone. The food is so delicious and they have a lot of varieties .

I really enjoyed eating with friends at The Cube. There is a view of the sea and we were entertained by a crowd of young men fishing on a wharf and swimming. The chef came out (probably because he knows one of my friends) and he was happy to make a slight adjustment to the menu to accommodate my tastes. At this time, Sierra Leoneans seem very happy to see all the foreigners who have come to help overcome the epidemic so this degree of warmth and special attention may be related to that as much as to their natural welcoming nature.
The newest restaurant in town that has unique set up and all local supplied materials.
There staff are professional, good service and you get the value of your money.. The ambience is perfect... Recommed everyone to visit at 17 lumley beach or call 030159598

Having tried Senegalese food...I thought it would be wrong to leave Freetown without trying out Sierra Leonean dishes.....We were not disappointed. The meun was expansive and the prices great. I tried several African and Sierra Leonean dishes and end up liking Cassava leaves with palm oil, cooked with meat......I will be coming back here when next in Freetown.
