We stopped for a dairy bar treat. First time visit. Now we will go back for dinner. Everything so fresh. Great shakes and ice cream. Actually sell cookies and milk. Recommend coffee chocolate chip milkshake make with whole milk. They will make with chocolate milk — too sweet for me. Nice store on first floor under the loft. Great for families.

Hopwood Cellars Winery

WELCOME! Ron Hopwood, owner and Wine Maker for Hopwood Cellars Winery, has been producing awesome wines since 1994. A trade he works to perfect, and continues to bring only the finest, award winning wines to the customer. When Hopwood Cellars Winery opened its doors on June 5, 2012, in Zionsville Indiana, it was quickly noticed by the consumer that these wines were not average, but are superior wines. Ron, with his wife Janet and a full staff, search out the best grapes from vineyards in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. When asked what sets his great wines apart from others, "I produce wines with a very strict regiment, with grapes sourced only from this region, local is very important". What started out as a hobby, has grown very quickly into a large business that has definitive plans for future growth. Cheers! Ron started working out the details to open the winery. After much thought and research Ron and Janet found the perfect location. Hopwood Cellars Winery is located in the Village of Zionsville at 12 E Cedar St. Downtown Zionsville offers brick paved streets with a variety of wonderful shops, restaurants and galleries. You can park on the street and walk through the beautiful town, shopping or just sight seeing. At Hopwood Cellars Winery you can step up to the wine bar and taste the wines that were made with local Midwest grapes, many from Indiana. You can purchase by the glass and relax with us or by the bottle. So come on by the cellar and pick up a bottle of fine wine for your next occasion. Drink wine, and you will sleep well. Sleep, and you will not sin. Avoid sin, and you will be saved. Ergo, drink wine and be saved.

Our first visit to Zionsville. It's a quaint little isolated town with brick streets. Hopwood Cellars is in a nice building with friendly service. Wines here are very good as well. Five sweet to semi sweet wines are so good it's hard to choose from if you had to choose just one.

Produce quality and variety are usually pretty good, especially in July and August. Go early! The many dog owners in this community ruin the whole experience with their "adorable" pets that they believe everyone should love. A late friend of mine used to say, "Kids and animals are just alike; you love your own and to hell with everyone else's."

This is a premier stop for any serious wine lover. Huge selection, only top quality wines, reasonable retail prices. Friendly staff, makes living in flyover country a lot more interesting. Their only competition for me is my California wine broker and the two are quite complementary. If you are in Indianapolis, this is the place to visit.

Monon Waterpark

Reviewed By Dave46033 - Fishers, Indiana

One day last week, The Monon Waterpark hosted an event for pre-school children to attend a day at the pools. I took our granddaughter -- a four-year-old -- and she was delighted to splash in the water pools outside and jump into my outstretched arms, off the side of the pool deck. The outside pools water temperature was a little bit chilly, so we ventured inside to have the shallow pool all to ourselves, with the water being close to 86 degrees, really warm and soothing. These inside pools are not too deep and that suits the youngsters just fine. The tube-style water slide was not available, but we still managed to have fun. The 25-meter lap pool is right next to that one, and people swim back and forth in it from early morning until late in the evenings. After Sept. 5th -- Labor Day -- the outside Waterpark will be closed for the season, but we will be returning next year for fun and relaxation at this fantastic place in Carmel.

The Antique Fan Museum at Fanimation was really interesting. You get to see original designs, different control features, and well worth the stop. Tom Frampton is an avid antique fan collector and there must have been hundreds (600) of fans from all over the world. We enjoyed looking at the antique advertising style hand fans. There isn't any fee to enter and you go at your own pace.

Coxhall Gardens has two lovely lakes, an amazing amphitheatre where concerts are sometimes held, a children's village which is so much fun, and lots of green space to relax, fly kites or whatever you want. It's big enough that it's never crowded. It's a very special place.
